pastanigger close to the quarantined area here.
lots of hysteria over nothing, there's a town of 50k people locked under quarantine, many businesses are closed, gyms are closed, schools are closed, last weekend people stormed the supermarkets as if the apocalypse was coming and shelves were empty (it lasted just a couple days, everything went back to normal almost immediately).
so far there's only some 600 confirmed cases and 45ppl have already healed completely.
tourism is tanking horribly, almost 100% rate of cancellations, probably other sectors will follow soon if this is not fixed.
journalists need to be skinned alive on live television and then left to die a slow agonizing death for causing all this panic over what is just little more than a regular flu with an insignificant death rate.

keep telling yourself that, bud. we’ll see exactly what impact this has in a week or 2. you faggots aren’t even over the hump yet, there’s still another week until the infected have the worst symptoms (pneumonia, respiratory failure). The flu isn’t deadly until that point.

every year there's this bullshit with an apocalyptic disease that is totally going to kill us all, until it blows over in a month time and people dont even remember it happened.
but ok man, it will totally happen this time.

only ones in recent memory was ebola, which killed too fast to become infectious. the last one similar was SARS, which again, killed people too fast. This has a long incubation period and it kills people after weeks of having it. The swine flu was less deadly by orders of magnitude.

you faggots are unironically too comfortable. you’re not used to anything ever going wrong or shit hitting the fan. every single retard in the world is unequipped to handle this mentally

Pastabro here, medias are overreacting to the news.
There are a 500+ cases, mostly in north Italy, near Milan, but that's because they made 3000 tampons. If other countries did as much tampons they would have found the same number of infected people. 90% of infected has nothing more than a bad flu. Few people died (with already other diseases and/or old people) and some developed a pneumonia.

sars, swine flu/h1n1, ebola, mad cow, scabies are just the ones that come to mind, boomers will probably have more to add to the fold.
this is on top of other overhyped apocalyptic events like how we're going to have nuclear war with iran or north korea every other year and then it all vanishes into nothing.
this is nothing more than a mild inconvenience unless you live in some subhuman hellhole where people eat mud cakes to avoid of starvation and die of flu anyway, in which case corona is the least of their worries.

Btw 655 cases, it's increasing incredibly fast in Italy, we're fucked.

>> No.17475214

Not very bad in central Italy. There is only some shortage of pasta and flour in the supermarkets because of panic buying, and hospitals in alert. I'm even quite happy because I felt the incoming storm and sold the top last week in the stock market.
