Excuse my ignorance but the falling market has me interested in throwing a little money at it while things are low to hold out for a while and make a little return. I’ve never dealt in stocks and I’m not a 6 figure income kinda person. I have no debts though and have some money that’s “throw away” if things don’t work out well. I’ve read through the thread and some of the other generals but would it be worth it to spend like $50-$100 this week or next week and hope for some turn around and sell at the end of the year? Not looking to retire off of this but maybe make a few hundred at some point and go from there. Kind of interested in “sin stocks” as people will always have vices. Appreciate any worthwhile input.

And yea I’m sure this is a late time to get into the game but if I play the long game with how stock prices are now I’m bound to have some return in the future even if it’s not much right? If it matters I’m in my late 20s so I could hold out if my small investment could turn into something major over a few years.

Buy inverse etfs like sqqq, spxu. These are index funds that trade against the market. Meaning the harder the market falls the more money you make. You can also put money into tvix which is velocity shares. It goes up as more money is traded. A bit risky but performs well in corrections.
