I know some are tired of reading this but some haven't seen it and right now is when they need to read it the most:
SSO (DBPG for euroanons) is a 2x leveraged ETF based on the S&P 500 and it is one of the few leveraged ETFs that existed before the Great Financial Crisis of 2008. Had you bought SSO (DBPG) at the literal top of the market before the recession in October 2007, as of this moment you would have gains of 176%. Had you bought the underlying SPY on the same day you would have gains of 98%. So had you bought the leveraged ETF, even at the worst possible time, you still would have ended up with almost double the gains today.
Remember this the next time somebody throws shade on leveraged ETFs because of volatility decay. Buy the index based leveraged ETFs and win. Simple as that. And start buying now. Coronavirus could be as bad as the GFC and if you start buying in now with a little money and buy in more later as the prices drop you will still come out much better in the long run than doing nothing at all. I'm buying and I'll be here when this thing is over to brag about my gains. Do not be afraid. We will get through this and this is your opportunity. Join me and get rich.

Its weird how both conservatives and liberals have said for the past couple of years the only way to beat the rise of nationalism, trumpism and conservatism is economic downturn or uncertainty. then magically there is a small outbreak and the mass media blows it into a worldwide panic. Only a fucking moron would think that. We are living in nuWeimar. Only an idiot would think that economic collapse would work in favor of the status quo. How can someone spend so much time obsessing about the rise of the NSDAP and yet learn nothing about what transpired?

>> No.17468309

People will stop paying for their cars and houses but will not lose them because SARS is going to infect 40-60% of the country and nobody in their right mind is going to help kick possibly infected people out of their houses or repossesstheir cars since that has a huge chance of getting them infected too.

Hourly workers will worry about paying for food but not rent. Someone tells you to leave, just say you've been coughing. Someone tries to physically remove you, tell them you feel sick. Nobody else is going to want to move into the apartment after someone with a cold moved out in the middle of a pandemic where the most common symptoms could look like a cold or flu before becoming deadly.

The stock market has so much room to fall. Don't know how fast the fed moves but if the CDC really doesn't do more testing of their own and continues to forbid anyone else from testing (which honestly appears deliberately malicious now) until mid-March (as I read in one Hawaiian paper explaining why Hawaii was going to ask another country for testing kits) then maybe the fed will have a window during the next few weeks to do something before we start having the scary doublings of confirmed cases from 2000 to 4000 to 8000 etc.

However, how much can they do? And if they pick a plan, how fast can they react to changing conditions?

Honestly, even if things don't get much worse than they are now and your life is only disrupted to the point that might happen due a hurricane, this drop still is only half the level of the 2018 one that didn't have a world-threatening SARS pandemic behind it. Late 2018 was -18%, wasn't it? While we're still only at -9% this week? The absence of a deadly SARS pandemic tanked the market to -18%, how far do you think it can go in the presence of one?

We're nowhere near -18% on this dip even if this pandemic happens without any other single event that sparks a greater dip.

the funny thing about CDC not testing is that people are taking to social media commenting directly under their coronavirus and other social media ones relating to it how they have the symptoms that match CVD but were declined a test because "they didnt mean the protocol" for a test. the storm is just beginning to brew and its going to be fucking biblical guys. the longer they put it off as "just the flu bro" the more overwhelmed the system will get.

>> No.17468361

And here are some events that could still happen and spark a greater dip:- Public panic, people panic shopping etc as the first confirmed cases start doubling

- Given Italy has locked down cities there's a chance of other European and even US cities being locked down. Bet an NYC lockdown is not priced in.

- Bet a 10-20% death rate including the young and healthy isn't priced in either but that also can't be ruled out as a serious possibility given NYT confirmed earlier this week that there was a day when 32/229 = 14% of the Italian confirmed cases were in the ICU or dead. For something that could hit 40-60% of the population, 10% needing the ICU to help them breathe is just going to be 10% dead because there's probably at most 150k machines that can provide that kind of support in the entire US and most of them are likely already in use for people with serious diseases before SARS 2 showed up. Add that to the 2-5% death rate even going by the current downplayed+ optimistic numbers that also have the benefit of a
healthcare system that hasn't been strained yet and we could see 12-15% death rates from this thing that spreads more easily than the flu.

- Bet a full pause of the US workforce for an entire month or more because everyone is too afraid to go to work hasn't been priced in either.

- Given this probably spreads exponentially, something like half the total to be infected may all get infected around the same time near the end of the infected. Sounds like a recipe for peak fear, probably has not been priced in because who could possibly price that?

Don't know how much QE it would take to support prices or make a recovery *right now*, but if any of those above possibilities occur then the market is gonna fall even harder and farther.

Excuse my ignorance but the falling market has me interested in throwing a little money at it while things are low to hold out for a while and make a little return. I’ve never dealt in stocks and I’m not a 6 figure income kinda person. I have no debts though and have some money that’s “throw away” if things don’t work out well. I’ve read through the thread and some of the other generals but would it be worth it to spend like $50-$100 this week or next week and hope for some turn around and sell at the end of the year? Not looking to retire off of this but maybe make a few hundred at some point and go from there. Kind of interested in “sin stocks” as people will always have vices. Appreciate any worthwhile input.

And yea I’m sure this is a late time to get into the game but if I play the long game with how stock prices are now I’m bound to have some return in the future even if it’s not much right? If it matters I’m in my late 20s so I could hold out if my small investment could turn into something major over a few years.

just dont boil the garlic itll destroy the allicin. eat it raw in order to get the benefits.

-Allicin (diallyl thiosulfinate) from garlic is a highly potent natural antimicrobial substance. It inhibits growth of a variety of microorganisms, among them antibiotic-resistant strains. However, the precise mode of action of allicin is unknown.

-Allicin is a compound produced when garlic is crushed or chopped. Available in dietary supplement form, it's been found to reduce inflammation and offer antioxidant benefits. Fresh garlic contains an amino acid called alliin. When the clove is crushed or chopped, an enzyme, alliinase, is released.

That's is all nice and all but once a few more corona cases pop up (which they will) we're gonna free fall again

>> No.17469234

The big one is here. The Fed can delay it but not much longer. They have to print Zimbabwe style to prop this sham up. And then it will all come tumbling down.

>> No.17469236

Damn man that sucks. Suggestions for a poorfag like me to make a profit out of this shit show? Been thinking of buying guns to sell closer to election time but other than that no clue.

>> No.17469241

Now a new brexit FUD comes in. Just look at this shit. Next thing we know they elect Bernie Sanders and the whole financial world collapses.

Of course 666

It has to be that number

Better be. After the small pump, I'm loading up on TVIX.

Buy put options on stuff as it all collapses around us.
Try not to get too greedy or you'll see profits vanish.

And I posted wrong pic hahah
Here you go. Basically I'm saying go look for yourself and imagine you can't see the floor. Zoom in to the top of the market at 2007 and imagine what it felt like to be in denial at that time while the roller coaster to the bottom was just starting

Is there any way to make money in a situation like that, cuz it seems to me that if the entire economy absolutely shits the bed no one's getting paid

>tfw actually up 5.5% today
is this a deadcat? should I sell while I am up?

>> No.17469289

Buy inverse etfs like sqqq, spxu. These are index funds that trade against the market. Meaning the harder the market falls the more money you make. You can also put money into tvix which is velocity shares. It goes up as more money is traded. A bit risky but performs well in corrections.

It is absolutely, 100% a deadcat

This is "anything goes" territory. Do what you want, 50/50 what will happen even a day later.

>> No.17469332

Thanks. It's interesting, but I'm not sure if this is going to be a bump on the road thing or a straight dive.
I guess we can only wait. It depends on how much resistance there's going to be.

>> No.17469334

Ok I’ll look into it. Would it still grant me a decent gain over time without dumping thousands into it?

>implying the dow dropping 200 points per US citizen INFECTED isn't an over reaction.

The market is more afraid of comarade sanders than a flu virus.

>> No.17469351

As retarded as a trump appointee can be, literally no one is shitting the bed at the fed so hard that they create hyperinflation. probably best not to listen to cryptotards/libertarians/Poltards about monetary policy anon.

>> No.17469355

Just took a full beat position on the S&P for you guys.

You’re welcome for the rally. Remember me.

>> No.17469400

You're not gonna get crypto like gains but they should do their job if the market crashes. I think this is the best option cause crypto trading is just so fucking risky and put options are kinda risky too. Just buy and hold and watch the market fall. You always need decent capital to multiply your gains though. You might have to sign up on a trading platform like ameritrade to get leverage

I was considering using something like Etrade or something that has no commission fees and maybe buying into firearm, alcohol and cannabis stocks. They’ll more that likely always be around and some are based in the us so China shouldn’t effect production I’m thinking. But this is all my uneducated opinion in this field.
