17451049 No.17451049 [Reply] [Original]

RSR is unlike anything you've ever seen before, they are designing a system using smart contracts that allow anyone to exchange their useless fiat for a stablecoin (RSV) backed by over 100 assets (near future), the process of designing such a system requires a multi-step process of slowly assimilating all of the parts into the whole. For example, they've started by releasing an easy to use App that doesn't require any fancy back-end technical nonsense to function as intended. They designed it specifically to make sure that the users have no need for any technical expertise or knowledge about crypto in order to benefit from it. Now that the App is designed and people are seeing the benefit(s) of it (i.e being able to store the full value of their currency/labor without relying on failing government fiat currency) they (the reserve team) can now focus on the technical side of things. They finalized the portal that allows you to mint RSV without needing the App and will now work on incorporating that minting process into their App itself so that we can view all the new RSV minted from the App. This may take a little while longer since they want to make sure that they worked out as many bugs as possible since it's necessary that people TRUST that they wont have issues storing their funds on-chain/on the App. They will also be using what they've learned in the beta phase in Venezuela and apply it to other regions which will make those launches go faster and smoother than the first beta launch.

Once the App is integrated with the blockchain and RSV is being minted and used by people in the real world as a means of exchange it will be given a set value of $1.00 usd based on the current backing by the 3 stablecoins being used in the minting process. They are starting with .3333 PAX, .3333 TUSD (not to be confused with USDT), and .3333 USDC. Yes, some will claim this is redundant and pointless because "wHy nOt JuSt usE OnE stAblE CoIn", and the reason is because this is phase 1 of the Reserve Protocol and not the final product. The final version of RSV will have at least 100 tokenized assets backing it and not just these stablecoins. This is just the preliminary phase where they test proof of concept at a smaller scale, the same way they're testing the App right now without any crypto / blockchain technology. The team is operating at a SYSTEMS level where they test in the small scale and then scale up from there once they get the right feedback and are convinced that the SYSTEM they're designing works as intended. Now that they've programmed RSV to be minted with 3x equal parts of stablecoins they've proven that the smart contract works as intended and they can now scale up from here.

>>17451051
So what does this mean for the future of RSR? Well, this is where it gets very interesting, since RSR is a speculative asset and does nothing on its own it will heavily rely on whether or not RSV itself is a success. This means that if the team is able to successfully implement RSV into the App, and people are happy with the final product then and only then will RSR be implemented into the Reserve Protocol as a part of the system. The system will take RSR and use the speculative value to mint and arbitrage RSV as the demand for RSV increases so does the demand for RSR. This is what will make RSR profitable, the fact that it will work in tangent with the RSV minting / arbitrage system. Which leads us to the next question, how the fuck will the arbitrage system work and how is it possible that we can profit from .02 cent transactions? Well, this is where you have to think big, .01 or .02 cents isn't shit, but if you're getting thousands of RSV transactions through the App and through exchanges this creates instability on the price of RSV, minimal movements but those movements in price can be capitalized on.

>> No.17451075

Fuck off shill
Nobody is reading that

>> No.17451087

>>17451063
For example, you can see this happening all the time with the 3 stablecoins that are being used right now to mint RSV. The difference is that if you have a Reserve Rights Token the SYSTEM is giving you the RSR holder the ability to cut in line when someone calls the "mint rsv" command on the app or an exchange or wherever. This means that if someone is trying to mint a lot of RSV they may want to buy RSR instead in order to benefit from this process as well, and that will further apply upward pressure to the RSR in circulation. However, a lot of users may not care to save a few cents and will simply mint RSV directly by buying up whatever RSV is made available by the RSR users that participate in the arbitrage using RSR. Either way, if you hold RSR you benefit from RSV becoming widely used. That's all I'm going to say about this for now.

>a stablecoin (RSV) backed by over 100 assets
i initially bought RSR because i thought RSV was an alternative to other stablecoins, that the RSV could become pinned to a dollar using only RSR in an arbitrage fashion.
Tbh, i am not sure if i misunderstood the project from the beginning or if it changed along the way.
But anyway, i sold my bags when i found out RSV was actually backed by a "basket of assets", specifically other stable coins.

I don't see a reason to invest in a stable coin which is backed by other stable coins.. mainly because if one of the underlying assets fail, it will hurt the stability of the coin, as i recall it, 33% of RSV is backed by tether - if the tether shadyness is revealed, 33% of RSV backing will disappear.

I think the DAI approach to a stable coin is better, although you can't directly invest in it.

Here's another counterargument: one stablecoin is called Reserve, the other is called DAI, backed by something called MakerDAO. I think you'd be a legit autist to think the public at large would use something called "DAI" or "MakerDAO" as their digital fiat of choice, over something called Reserve.

I mean, "MakerDAO". It sounds like a Python library or something. The branding is just dogshit.

Esperanto (/ˌɛspəˈrɑːntoʊ, -ˈræn-/) is the most widely spoken constructed international auxiliary language. It was created by Polish ophthalmologist L. L. Zamenhof in 1887, when he published a book detailing the language, Unua Libro ("First Book"), under the pseudonym "Dr. Esperanto".
