Need feedback on this, just bought this thing and have no idea what it does or at least might not.
Pretty sure this thing is a put option that expires on March 6th with a strike price of $8.
Seems pretty straightforward and safe to me, I expect for it to crush down below 7 by then.
Or am I retarded and I somehow just magically bankrupted myself?

Okay guys, it's obvious this rise in the market is temporary and the hammer will fall even further as coronavirus get worse in the west. So, why are some ways Trump can avoid further falls in the market to help with elections?

(1) Simply stop the market until November. An extreme option, but these are extreme times. Probably not recommended as it might cause more harm than good.

(2) Inject two trillion dollars into the market: primarily allowing companies to submit documentation showing losses from overseas manufacturing and reimbursing those losses. This is a short term solution that relies on overseas manufacturing and logistics covering that manufacturing to recover within 6-12 months.

(3) Invest four billion in manufacturing across all sectors throughout the United States to shift our dependence on foreign manufacturing and bring jobs back to America, subsidizing the salaries of workers while paying for the rapid construction of factories. The long term plan with the ability to prevent fallout from coronavirus while increasing America's strategic position. The drawback is this is rather expensive, but we could help pay for it by removing social security.

Thoughts? Additional ideas?

Also, SNSS come in baaaaby

Also, fucked up with AMRN calls (silly me- once again, their record breaking quarter and good news lead to a dump), and Papi Johns calls thinking it would do a DPZ (good earnings but its getting hammered, no DPZ confirmed)

I lost $2000 CAD the past week and i learned that chasing the market is the worst thing you can do.

Its literally like playing a roulette table, there is no sense in guessing the future. The best you can do is estimate long term trends in 1,3,12 month segments and manage your risk accordingly - thats what the professionals do.

Odds are things are going to get a little worse before they get better. We still haven't factored in that America hasn't even had a death of the virus yet and when it does it will be another short opportunity on the ride down.

Then somehow because of their marginal gains, they think they're some sort of genius. Just dumb investors is all. Factor them in with your bears and equate the end product. That should tell you your next move.

- first person to person transfer of SARS-CoV-2 in a major us city
- first day we hear of a "big" doubling in the number of cases

And then some stuff would make it really dump more than 10%:
- first day a city a city gets locked down
- media talking about food shortages

And then months later (no position on this because volatility is so high):
- us companies fucked by broken china supply lines
- us companies reporting low q1 earnings
- us companies fucked because they're freezing up like Chinese ones have been for the last month

"Learning about ventilators
A ventilator is a machine that breathes for you or helps you breathe. It is also called a breathing machine or respirator. The ventilator:

Is attached to a computer with knobs and buttons that are controlled by a respiratory therapist, nurse, or doctor.
Has tubes that connect to the person through a breathing tube. The breathing tube is placed in the person's mouth or in an opening through the neck into the windpipe (trachea). This opening is called a tracheostomy.
Makes noise and has alarms that alert the health care team when something needs to be fixed or changed."
