I just read their wikipedia page and this is interesting
>Founded in 1859 by George Gilman as "Gilman & Company", within a few years the firm opened a small chain of retail tea and coffee stores in New York City, and operated a national mail order business. The firm grew to 70 stores by 1878

something that is taught in classes like discrete mathematics for proving things (required learning for Computer Science programs)

pasta from leddit

“ The backwards E means "there exists". The <=> means "equivalent" or "if and only if". The funny Z is integers.

So the first line is stating that the listed cyrptocurrencies is equivalent to stating that SHA-256 is secure or that the cyrptocurrencies "exist" if and only if SHA-256 is secure.

The second line asks to prove that there does not exist a secure SHA-256.

The left side of the third and forth lines is a premise that SHA-256 is secure.

The right side of the third line is that RSA is correct.

The right side of the fourth line is stating M^{ed} modulo n = M, for all M that are integers, with the fifth line stating n = pq, where p and q are prime, and ed = 1 modulo totient(n). (M - message, e - encrypting key (public), d - decrypting key (private)).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euler%27s_totient_function

The sixth line is stating alpha^{p-1} = 1 modulo p, for all alpha that are integers. (This applies to finite fields in general).

The seventh line states that a and p are not 0: a&p ≠ 0, and a ≠ 0 mod p.

Then the eighth line "proves" that the seventh and prior lines are falsehoods, because a&p = 0 since 2015 when A&P (the company) declared bankruptcy.”

It was actually surprisingly common by then, and by the late 1800's it was everywhere before reaching peak absurdity with Sears doing mail order houses by 1908, 70% of which still stand today.
