I think: the thing is that finance is just inherently a kinda boring-as-fuck topic as a whole, period. If you’re actively day trading, ok that would make sense to have constant discussion & TA sharing etc, but most people don’t. Think about it. The “default”, easiest/low-stress, and arguably most profitable trading strategy is to buy & hold. That’s what most people do then; and day to day they just go to their normie jobs and slowly accumulate saved funds.

For someone who’s already well-redpilled on crypto and to a sufficient extent the legacy economic system (and its problems), after you’ve bought your suicide stacks and/or gotten into the routine of continuing the regular day job routine + periodically dumping paychecks into crypto, there’s not much to talk about that would be extremely useful to you trading-wise, that you don’t already know and are already doing.

I experienced this when I finally got a $23k personal loan and bought a full portfolio of BTC/ETH/LINK and set everything up on hardware wallets to sit for a good long time. I still follow crypto news & stonks etc, purely out of autistic interest and my doom fetish, which I was doing SUPER hardcore before the loan, since my initial “holy fuck” crypto moment in 2017 when I fell down the rabbit hole.

Not true for a majority of things. I can see with money how sometimes it would be true if someone had a unique "scheme" they wanted to keep a secret, but I don't think that applies to most information and subjects.

Like say you had a certain medical condition. You could easily find volumes of information about it, symptoms, treatments, solutions, experiences, etc. all for free and none of it is worse off for reason of being readily available.

Especially if someone is looking for help with the "basics" of personal finance, I'm sure there's plenty of easily accessible information out there. and a billion books written about the specific topics within it.

I just don't agree that if information is easy to find somehow it isn't useful
