>minimum of 50k per node (~$50)
>14% annual ROI
>Automatically enter into validator service award jackpot with over 700k average reward ($700)

Any moment I can do over 10x just by staking.

>But you'll never win it with such a small stake
Every node has an equal chance to win

>The odds you actually win it are too tiny to bother
Historically, anywhere between 100 and 200 nodes are eligible per jackpot perid. It hits every 6 days, on average. And you can run as many nodes as you want.

>This can't be sustainable
1/3 of block rewards are set aside for jackpot reward. The network generates it at a sustainable rate of inflation.

And at 1mm mcap, there is a potential for moon mission WHILE I'M STAKING.

Anyways, buy $50 of Stegos (on Bithumb Global). Set a node and forget about it.

Not to mention we're dealing with a ground-up privacy blockchain [live on mainnet] that is the ONLY privacy coin emphasizing usability and accessibility. Ie. Monero for the other 99.9% of the world. But you can figure that out yourself.

Gonna stick with the lowcap that didn't already have the biggest moon mission of the past two years. Thanks though.

How does this jackpot mechanism work? I'm intrigued

I'm an autist, sorry in advance if it's too nitty-gritty:

One block every 8 seconds. 2/3 of rewards (24 STG) is delivered immediately to the stake holder. 1/3 (12 STG) is recorded and reserved for the VSA jackpot.

Every 60 blocks is a macroblock. At each macroblock, a random binary string is produced. If the string yields 10 leading zeros (which has a 1/2^10 probability, or once every 1024 macroblocks).

This yields an average reward of 12 STG*1024 macro blocks*60 microblocks per macro = 737,280 STG.

When 10 leading zeros are observed, the reward is delivered, in full, to an eligible node at random. Each node has an equal chance of winning, regardless of stake.

To be eligible, nodes must remain online for the duration of the jackpot cycle. The idea is that as many nodes as possible is best practice for validating blocks and maintaining a sufficiently decentralized network.

Whenever the jackpot is delivered, all active nodes are recorded for the next cycle. If a node goes offline, it is flagged as ineligible. Usually there will be 200-220 nodes at the start of the cycle with roughly 30% becoming ineligible by payout time.

You can spin up as many nodes as you want. A simple VPS hosting solution is best practice so as to ensure your nodes remain online. Separate from the jackpot, stakers also receive a 14% ROI. Of course, you'll consistently earn more with a larger stake size.
