the ECB committed to never letting the euro fail same way the Fed also eventually basically committed to never letting US capital markets fail with QE except the ECB went a step further and explicitly said they will do anything possible

the problem is the ECB has become almost a joke... I can't speak for how it is viewed by people in Europe

Highly likely we'll see that within our lifetimes, however through sterilization rather than killing. The way real incentive distribution fields are laid out (as opposed to ideological stances that people convince themselves is their real motivation) is that power itself and the elites that chase it will have no need for a large, invested white collar population as more jobs become automated and humans become a liability rather than an asset. It seems overwhelmingly probable that the current dominant ideologies will find a way to morph into something that justifies population reduction and the erosion of popular sovereignty required to achieve it. That's more or less what the environmentalists are becoming, actually.

Yeah, it's a problem that could sort itself out passively through birthrates in any other political system. But the inertial momentum left in institutions of democracy, which once were useful to make the middle class motivated and productive by giving them an illusion of control, now malfunction against power and demand an emergency voter base while they are being being shed and safeguarded against. So you end up with a client welfare minority population in explosive growth mode. Oh well, it will still end the same either way, but it's going to cause a lot of ethnic tension that will look utterly stupid and unnecessary to anyone who's trying to look at policy as a matter of ideas.

This is interesting. I could actually see this. If "Modern Monetary Theory" or whatever they call it at that point is the engine of social redistributive justice, and that engine starts to break down, I could see clueless NPCs bleating about the importance of (((insert MSM-provided talking point here))). "No, you can't pass that law regulating banks... That would prevent them from making everyone equal!"
