you answered your own question really. the price continually takes a shit. but also the coin is premined, it used to be available to buy for fractions of a penny, the company blatantly uses it to raise revenue by dumping it, and it probably hads no use case (unless the XRP fans' delusions are true which is extremely unlikely). also the technology is old and shitty. also the community sucks the nutsack of a dead donkey. and all the OG crypto guys and "enthusiasts" hate it and would never let it go anywhere. oh and it's not decentralized. and probably some other stuff too that escapes me at this time
