Its neither ERC nor Bep, its their own chain, Opera.
You can withdraw ERC or BEP from Binance and you need to use the bridge to swap to Opera.

okay so it seems binance gives you two options two withdraw your fantom, either as the bep2 token or the erc 20 token

the address that is on the wallet seems to be an erc 20 address

when you withdraw as bep2 the fee is only 3 fantoms when you withdraw as an erc 20 token the fee is 134 fantom

i'll read up on the bridging method some anon posted in this thread but it seems more convenient to just transfer it all as erc20 via binance, the fee only translates to $1.34 anyway

I actually accidentally withdrew 40k FTM erc20 tokens to the OPERA mainnet wallet before and had a heart attack, but if you guys do this here's a trick to get your fantom back:

1.) Take your Fantom wallet 12 words phrase
2.) Use that 12 word phrase to recover an ethereum wallet
3.) Add eth to the wallet and then send your FTM tokens to the bnb.exchange
4.) Convert the tokens to OPERA

Fantom uses the same type of addressing system as ethereum, and although I don't really get how it works, I know that you can recover your tokens if you lost them like I did.

If you withdrew eth tokens to an opera wallet, you can recover them with the method I gave though. Using your fantom wallets 12 word phrase to recover an eth wallet will give you a wallet with the same address as the fantom one

actually fren, it just worked. i used meta mask. i used my password i made on the opera network along with the .json file. i then added the Fantom contract address and boom i found them

it worked perfectly. thanks a lot.

binance apparently just converts your BEP2 tokens into the ERC20 token for a fee of 134 fantom. i mistakenly entered my opera fantom address as an erc 20 fantom addresss

but your method did work to recover it thanks a lot bro

Just wait. As long as you confirmed the eth token transaction by hitting the next button here and it confirmed that your eth tokens were received, you've just got to wait. It can happen anywhere from a few seconds to like 5 hours. I've exchanged FTM from eth to opera maybe 6 times now and it just depends
