Useless cryptos still moon for no reason all the time so the odds of many useless cryptos mooning for no reason when a bull market is in full swing are still high.
Do you remember how many dead 2013-14 alts came back to life out of nowhere in early 2017? Once Bitcoin eclipsed it's old 2013 ATH, altcoins went deep in the green. There were some promising alts before that, but almost all that 100-1000x action only came after Bitcoin broke it's ATH.

don't underestimate greed. there's a fact that countless nerds are spending their life on github to code random stuff related to crypto. I don't know what it's worth, but it's a real reason to pump markets up and lure people into buying overpriced crypto. the market is small, "big" players have no reason to stop playing in it and earn a lot of money which they do. and many people envy them and want to be rich so money keeps flowing in.

Most shitcoins won't go back to previous ATH. 95% are already dead or are dead cat bouncing their way into oblivion, the charts will flat line like a dead guy in a hospital.

New shitcoins will pump and dump and the cycle will repeat. It's best to buy shit that has a future, like BTC, ETH, and/or LINK. Those will all eventually smash their ATHs.

True. On the other hand, I can't say when exactly it will snow but I am inclined to think it may so long as the season is right.
A lot of /biz/raelis refused altcoins altogether in early 2017 and many had become so blackpilled by the 2014-15 bear that they took their money and ran when it hit $2k. They learned to be cautious after diving into a draining pool of excess only to realize that the conservative, risk averse mindset they had to learn the hard way in a bear market becomes almost completely useless in a manic bull market
