Holy shit. Ari or Sirgay tried to warn us literally a month ago. What if this project has become something that is now out of their control?

I'm begging you, please honestly and compassionately consider a future in which chainlink oracle network is allowed to grow to a point it can't be feasibly shut down by our government.

WE ARE LITERALLY a single incremental advancement in big data analysis (aka ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) away from an unstoppable network of anonymous, smart kill contracts.

>WHAT DOES CHAINLINK DO?
Chainlink network offers guaranteed integrity and correctness of data to smart contracts, node operators stake $LINK as collateral. Persons creating important contracts (expensive payouts) would be smart to run it on an oracle with greater or equal value of $LINK staked as collateral.

>WHY IS THIS DANGEROUS?
Once an algorithm is developed that can with great confidence determine if a person (who exists on paper, not a third worlder, has a SSN etc realistically) is alive or dead by interfacing with the infinite data ocean from .. social media, news, government databases, smart security cameras, public databases, the entire Internet of Things, etc .. Chainlink will be used to connect and guarantee that data by the decentralized Chainlink oracle network.

>Why would a Chainlink node operator allow kill contracts on their node?
CHINA! HELLO? Most BTC mining nodes are in China, you think they won't be all over this? You think Chinese would not happily take 10% cut of $10k kill contracts that are actually happening on the other side of the world in America?

WE STILL HAVE TIME TO SHUT IT DOWN. STOP THE ORACLE NETWORK. WE STILL HAVE TIME.

I've been talking about this shit for more than a year. Assassination smart contracts are even easier to do if you are dealing with a public target like a politician or a celebrity that will make the news. You take a smartcontract, connect it to many news sites, assassin and contract provider agree on key words on which the contract will trigger, for example "TRUMP, ASSASSINATED, DEAD, DONALD" or something like that. Heck you could plug it into some Machine Learning which can understand news' texts. As soon as it "understands" that the target has been killed, the contract accepter gets their money. To make sure no one squats these contracts, there has to be a timeframe and a deposit from the assassin. Otherwise CIA will just accept contracts and do nothing.

Agreed, the danger for public figures is already present, as AI can already figure out through a consensus on news outlets if one of them is dead, and a Chainlink oracle node will be passing that data, probably paid subscription fees from AI firms for access to their database, and then providing that to smart contracts.

The real scary shit starts to happen when we surpass 1984 levels of surveillance, and AI firms will be able to tell if anybody is alive or dead given a reasonable amount of time.

This ain't a fucking joke ancap asshole. The thing about privateized centralized for profit businesses acting as oracle services to smart contracts, is that it can be shut down with the signing of a warrant if they started providing info like rhat.

Once the Chainlink node operator network grows Tina certain points just like BTC mining node network, it will be impossible for the government to stop.

As long as I’m rich...this dystopian future timeline sucks anyways - no flying cars or hoverboards or five hour work weeks, but endless social media bullshit and new ways to advertise to you while everything gets cheaper except for the things that matter like land, education and healthcare. Link can’t make it worse.

Because they have the power to shut down a centralized oracle company providing potentially dangerous data to smart contracts, they don't have the power to shut down a decentralized world-wide network of Oracles providing data to smart contracts.

The fact you think $LINK is transacted at all in buying/selling contracts, or is needed at all by the contracter or perptrstor, demonstrates you have not only not read the white paper but your iq hangs lower than sirgays belly.

Aaand? You think there are no dark escrows or whatever? If criminals have intention to assasinate someone, they'll do it, with or without smart contracts. If it's not only about kill contracts specifically, name what else then.

>> No.17331554

>>17331497
They do it because they're lifelong criminals and have contacts they can trust. Chainlink will allow you to put up $50k to kill your boss, and nobody will know it's you. All it takes is one methed out Looney or incel in America with nothing to lose to browse the exchange and take you up on that offer. 90% he gets caught as always, but modern deterrence against contract killing is that the killer is offered deals to rat out the payer. In this case, Chainlink makes it so neither the payer or the killer know who each other are. Only know each other by some Monero address generated on the spot.

this

Imagine a brown mass of people with no inherent culture, no inherent worth, no inherent identity. Corn-fed simpletons subsisting on protein substitutes and nutritionally-enhanced vegetables. Witness the end of history; there exists a perpetual state of consumerism. Identity is now something you buy, something you build via your consumption preferences. Under the banner of equality, all income above a certain government-set level that guarantees 'happiness' is confiscated and redistributed; the only exceptions being the hidden oligarchy and their chosen demagogues.

You know those TOR "darknet" drug markets that are constantly popping up faster than they can be shut down? They're all going to add a SMART HITMAN tab to the marketplace, in which people can review the contracts offered on the market, research the target anonymously, and buy it (small down payment, returned if successful), and go out and KILL the target within the described timeframe (2 weeks is reasonable minimum, for an algorithm to determine if a person is dead, extensions could obviously be purchased, in the case you kill them with only minutes on the clock, etc). THIS IS OUR DARK FUTURE.

Yes use Kleros and when the CIA niggers come to investigate the tech, they'll shut Kleros down or charge the people who voted with helping an assassination. With zero knowledge proof, nodes computing the machine learning won't even know what the fuck they are computing. I mention CIA like they are gonna save, but in reality it will be entities like CIA using the assassination market AND terroristic events market to cause instability in governments and nations.

You think the dark web doesnt use Monero and third party escrow accounts to do this already? I've seen it advertised on the sites before.
people seem to be mistaken about two things
>Chainlink guarantees anonymity of the payer
>Chainlink can use consensus to determine if someone is dead
one, there is already the existence of anonymity of the payer, with established escrow sites and methods of payment.
two, you dont need chainlink to verify someone is dead.
