Are PM’s a good substitute for unstable SM/crypto investment?

Buy crypto
Ride to moon
Gradually convert crypto into PMs on the way up
You'll never guess the top correctly but when the tide does turn bear you'll have a stack of boomer rocks that are solid and real and never going to plummet in price.
Congrats you're wealthy now.

PMs aren't good investments, but they can be good hedges against more risky assets in your portfolio stocks, real estate, high yield bonds etc.).
It's fine to have a few % in PMs but don't go full retard and put most of your money into PMs.

I treat PM as a part of my "fiat" stack
Hedge against collapse and good store of value
Everything is else is optimized to give me a high return for relatively lower risk, that means i'm holding bags of UND.

This. PMs are like a cold storage version of fiat that doesn't lose anything to inflation. If there's a PM bull market that's great and all but really it's about locking in value so you know it will be there next year.

PM's are a good investment that should compliment your crypto and stock portfolio.

Whatever has the lowest premium to spot. Bars, rounds, coins...unless you're planning for post apocalyptic barter scenario the differences between these are miniscule. Just buy whatever gets you the most metal per dollar.

It’s more of a store of wealth and hedge against inflation , not really an investment
