This guy is based. repetitive menial tasks are the ultimate form of meditation. Try working as an amazon picker or whatever they call them (people who package shit on the warehouse) beware though apparently it’s a pretty big workload might not be as chill as your previous job

Data entry, medical records, health record electronic conversion.

Basically anything in records is right up there in boring repetitive work. Scanning in thousands of pages and just watching to make sure there's no errors/double feeds. Looking through thousands of pages to make sure they went into the correct category.

Even record prep (pulling staples, fixing/attaching pictures or charts correctly for scanning, organizing thousands of pages by date/time) would probably be good for you.

Sometimes when the niggers you work with that somehow make 4x you because they're county employe holdovers from 2 decades ago and not the now standard contract slaves with no beni's fuck up and you get to manually enter in tens of thousands of record numbers and manually move them to the correct name/visit. Oh and you get to listen to headphones the entire time and no one bothers you because you carry 90+% of the department's workload. Comfy.

This is in stark contrast to the fuckers who whinge on this board how their job is shit, they hate their lives and they just want to all in their saving to gain financial freedom.

>> No.17298733

>>17298690
That’s because half this board is miserable for reasons that are not at all financial. So they attach all their hopes and dreams to these pipe dreams of suddenly “making it” as if that will save them for their miserable selves. Of course if you try to tell anyone on this board that happiness comes from within before it comes from anywhere else you’ll get spammed by a bunch of retards too emotionally attached to whatever investment they’ve made to actually try and work on themselves

I used to do a short stint in this warehouse where I would put moving boxes into this washer and then see it do some industrial cleaning shit to them. You would need to wear hearing protection and there would be heat and cold gusts of wind when the terminal would be operational at the same time. Trucks would come up and they would load the trucks with furnitures and other shit whilst outside would be -20 celsius which is -4 fahrenheit for you ameriturds. It was one of those times of my life when I was seriously thinking of offing myself.

>mfw I think about washing those boxes in the industrial washer

When I was a freshman in college I took a job at a warehouse. On some days I would spend my entire 8 hour shift hand greasing bearings with a paint brush and bucket of grease. I never counted but would guesstimate I would do around 1600 bearings a day. Next day I would spend my entire shift assembling a wheel unit, it was basically a screw, two washers, a nut, wheel and the base that would screw in. Never counted these either but would guess I could do 600 in a day. Very boring repetitive work but made $15/hr full benefits

I liked pushing shopping carts from the grocery parking lot at night for this same reason. Its work but it doesn't occupy your mind and stress you out. Office work is the worst, you're stuck in the same place all day and your brain is just cramed with bullshit that makes you too mental tired to do anything when you get home. I was paid 1/4 of what I'm making now, but I almost miss the simplicity.

Salads or desserts would pay the same and you'd then be in the most boring position in the entire restaurant. The dishie doesn't have to deal with retarded managers or customers back at his sink. It's not something to give up lightly unless you're so physically weak can't handle it and need to prep cook like the fat, mexican old lady that you are.

Fuck I feel you man. I want to leave my 80k a year PM job because it's honestly either boring or annoying. I missed working at blockbuster and putting yellow locks into DVD cases and alphabetizing DVDs. I was thinking about being a bartender because I like moving fast doing simple tasks and I actually like talking to most people when society says anonymous small talk is encouraged but bars also have some people I don't want to talk to at all and I hate feeling trapped. Cashier is good for quick turnover but fuck that life. Maybe I'm naive because I've never bartended though.
