Thank you, I like this strategy. Collect long term growth plus dividends if available. I’ll have to decide which route to go growth, dividend or in-between lower dividends but the company still has growth. Then, on top of this I’d compound gains from premiums off the ATM call, if the stock crabbed or went down. I’d just have to sell my 100 shares if the call was exercised. Would I just search the market for a good dip on another company within SP500, has tight spreads for its options and repeat then?

Read Buffet's investor letters. Read Peter Lynch if you like catching those growth stocks. i wish it was 2002, i miss GWB and the exciting feeling of impending revenge as everyone knew we were going to war and GWB was giving saddam ultimatums on national tv to step down. 24/7 coverage of the escalating situation and everyone knew war was on the horizon. markets were starting to get a bit wobbly and fuel prices were starting to creep up. this was back before CNN lost all credibility and was still fairly news oriented instead of just socialist radical leftist propaganda drivel. the utmost feeling of all happenings as you watched CNN and saw the reports of saddam ignoring the no fly zone and trying to launch missiles at our fighter jets. if only /pol/ had existed back then

Cable news has always been shit. Always. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. Journalism was a brief anomaly before propaganda could kill it in the 70’s or so.

The war on terror was always a mistake, as Cheney said before it stared. “War with Afghanistan would be a quagmire” is more or less the sentiment.

The wrong Bush brother got to be president. Fuck GWB. I’d much rather have JEB!

How old were you when the towers fell? When they pulled “Fuck Authority” off the radio because it was time to be good little girl and boys and let big brother into our lives? When they decided privacy was a luxury we didn’t deserve?

>The world’s second-largest economy practically shut down three weeks ago as a viral outbreak sickened tens of thousands of people, unexpectedly lengthening a Chinese holiday. The freeze set off warnings that the global economy could be in jeopardy if the world’s pre-eminent manufacturing powerhouse stayed shut for long.

>Now, as some factories rumble back into action, the monumental task of restarting China is becoming clear. China’s efforts to contain the virus are clashing with its push to get the country back to work, requiring the country’s leaders to strike a balance between keeping people safe and getting vital industries back on track.
Chinese leaders called this past week for more emphasis on reviving the economy. But many of the factories that have reopened are operating well below capacity, say companies and experts. Quarantines, blocked roads and checkpoints are stopping millions of workers from returning to their jobs. Supply lines have been severed.

>Even to start up again, Chinese officials are requiring businesses to provide masks to workers, record their temperatures and track their movements to make sure they haven’t come into contact with the coronavirus, named COVID-19.

>“The kind of fear and freeze that has taken hold in terms of economic activity is likely to persist,” said George Magnus, a research associate at Oxford University’s China Center. “I don’t really see a good outcome.”

i think you misunderstand me, I understand that the vast majority of money in the market is institutional. I am not claiming John Doe working at Coca Cola can move the stock price with his individual 401k. I am claiming passive index funds (which as of a few months ago are over 50% of the market) are contributing to a valuation bubble in large cap stocks. There are studies that support this by showing stocks that are included in index funds have a valuation premium over those that are not.

A while ago as part of fiduciary laws, companies were forced to include passive low cost investment vehicles in their 401k plans which means every paycheck that 401k withholding money is automatically put into index funds. And honestly this will only continue as the "passive>active, low cost index ETFs are king, just dump it into SPY and don't look at it until you're 65" shill is still going strong and probably will until there is a bear market.

>I am claiming passive index funds (which as of a few months ago are over 50% of the market) are contributing to a valuation bubble in large cap stocks
which is misleading and draws the wrong conclusion. despite index holdings, those ETFs barely change hands compared to active funds, and that trading is what sets the valuation. the valuation doesn't depend on who holds the stocks, what matters is the performance of the underlying companies and that's realized when people trade.
>There are studies that support this by showing stocks that are included in index funds have a valuation premium over those that are not.
those are mostly small cap stocks and you can take advantage of them back buying a ton of them individually. but that opportunity is there because it's a ton of work and most people or even institutions aren't going to bother until the margin is large enough.
if you have a extremely stable stock that's mathematically worth, say, $10 per share from dividends alone. putting it in an index isn't going to move that significantly.

>those are mostly small cap stocks and you can take advantage of them back buying a ton of them individually

they are not mostly small caps. I am talking about AMZN is one of them, along with the rest of FAAMNG. Sure you can argue the source of the valuation premium is not inclusion in the index but that is the conclusion they reached and it is not like these were studies done by college kids. I wish I can linnk it for you to look at yourself I unnderstand it is hard to take me at face value.

I am not trying to argue with your logic or reasoning as you are 100% right for the most part. I am just pointing out there may be an anomaly here.

I don't think SC2 was a huge fuck up. It had a good run, but RTS is a dead genre outside of Korea in general. In this market people want F2P with micro transactions. The only successful RTS would be pay to win like you can spend a few dollars and crank out your carriers 4 times faster.

In the Netherlands, rambling Leftists didn't want to screen and quarantine potential Corona infected people coming back from the cruise ship off of the coast of Japan. Because that's what Thierry Baudet wanted, and that's bad because he's bad or some childish nonsense like that.

Then someone turned out to be infected. These mongoloids didn't even keep track of who came back. They arrived through Schiphol airport. Some of these people have been roaming around for over a week now, without reporting back to authorities. Hopefully it's nothing but we could be looking at a mass outbreak in Europe soon.

This man may have killed a significant portion of Europe. Lord knows he's been trying for years.

>There are consistent automatic inflows of capital into index funds from 401k plans that are based on extremely shaky investment logic.
that inflow of capital would be happening regardless. people aren't going to not invest their money. without ETFs that money is just focused on a much smaller selection. and indexing is statistically the best strategy for home investors. if you can provide something better then you have a billion dollar business prospect.
>they are not mostly small caps. I am talking about AMZN is one of them, along with the rest of FAAMNG.
not saying small cap have a premium, saying they're relatively undervalued compared to stocks that have a lot more perspectives scrutinizing their value.
even if indexes added a premium to it's stocks that in not way implies it's creating a bubble. again, the stock valuation is leashed to the company's performance; market forces will take advantage of and reign the two in if they stray too far apart.

So far yeah. how much you make a year really depends on whatever is happening in the world at the time and the health of the global economy. Last year shit was booming, your S&P fund alone would've netted you at least 20%. This year thus far? Only 4.5%. You can think the china virus for that. Typical return over time is 8% with market downturns and whatever taken into account assuming you hold the fund for 20+ years.

There are reports of importers struggling to ensure they get their orders, but these are mostly anecdotal and the market seems to be ignoring them. Are the major players ignoring this or planning on sitting it out?

Maybe not 3 either. I definitely played 4 and 5 the most.

Ooooh, I'm terribly upset about your four figure account balance. Have you decided if you're going to get a stomach band put in and liposuction after you make all your money?

Cry more faggot. Cry forever. Don't think, don't act rationally, don't make money. Just cry and cry about others who don't service your wishes.

You seem upset. I know you're posting on Stocktwits and pretending to be at work right now when you're unemployed, but please don't stress eat and do any more damage to your body. If your head gets any more thick, you're at risk for a brain aneurysm.
>don't make money
Show us all the money you made and your 105,000 SNSS shares. I'll wait.

youtube things like present value, discount cash flow model, capital asset pricing model. And P/E ratio is not a meme.....

>strengths/weaknesses, competition, future prospects and actually pricing all that stuff

there won't be videos on this it depends on the individual company and industry. As for pricing in all that risk, well, the jews pay a lot a lot a lot of money to some very smart asian actuaries to do that for them using math so it's not really something you can youtube a course on.

All of your posts have been attacks on others in this thread. You have said nothing of value, and have contributed nothing. Projection is sad, anon. I feel sad for you.

I have a weird niche job to the point that if you search my title my name comes up. I deal with treasury rates every day so numbers flashing don’t look too much out of the ordinary but I do worry someone could catch on at some point and I’d get a talking to. My platform is usually up on a third monitor, but my boss isn’t in my office and they say I’m a good performer so I’m not very worried. Though I have gotten random phone calls that screwed me pretty bad as far as a headline tanking a SPY option for example that I otherwise might have bailed on early enough.

You are projecting projection. All you have to do is post a screen shot of your 105,000 shares and I'll stop roasting you. You can make the pain go away.
>You have said nothing of value, and have contributed nothing
That's where you are wrong, sweetie, my contribution is discouraging faggots from posting and calling them out for their shilling.

Post 105,000 SNSS shares.
