Fuck this industry. For some reason every dispensary is located inner city next to all the spics and hobos. Have to drive through endless potholes and park next to a literal crackhouse and multiple taco trucks to get access. Once inside I have to scan my ID and write first/last name on a list that anyone else walking in can see.

Then I wait 15-20 minutes in the lobby before I can even enter the store. For some fucking reason every single customer needs to be chaperoned separately by a sales associate, and because there are only 2-3 people working there it takes forever to go through the list. Meanwhile I have to sit out in the lobby which is plastered with Marvel-themed wall-art and towers of Funko Pop! figures. Around me are endless boomers, seriously 95% of customers are 60+ year old husband/wife pairs.

Finally my name gets called. A pink-haired zoomer twink leads me into the inner sanctum where all the actual product is. All I wanted was half an oz of weed, I'm already late to meet friends. But he's constantly zooming on about gummy edibles and eco-friendly fruit leather, CBD-infused craft beer, and something about dabbing.

After making it clear I just want the cheapest flower they have he pulls out trays of different strains and starting explaining which ones come from "wonder bread" or which ones have the "fattest nugs". Seriously this kid would not stop using the word "nugs" and saying how "fat" all the nugs were. Nigger I really could not care less, sativa/indica/whatever it's all fucking memes once you grind it up and smoke the shit and realize it's basically all the same result.

The cheapest they had was $105 for half an ounce, plus almost 25 fucking percent tax so around $130 total. And over half an hour of my time. I hate this fucking industry.

Unless your time is worth $190/hour, I dont see why you are complaining. Open a dispensary tomorrow and let everyone in unchaperoned. Keep in mind you can only take cash and its all stored onsite. Keep in mind that stolen product likely means fines for you due to intense regulations. The decorations and staff sound lame but youre probably in an area where that is the culture. Dont most legal states offer delivery now? Just do that next time.
I do think you could find success fixing the problems you described for these businesses or opening one tailored towards professionals/adults.
Or double down on the madness and open a 420-friendly coworking space with an onsite dipensary.

Around where I live the closest recreational dispensary is an hour drive. Fortunately there are services where I can get it delivered to my door after I order through the phone. They usually take an hour but the wait time isn't bad.
