Imagine a situation with an investment where a massive amount of volume causes a rise in price, followed by a crash due to unsustainable volume. Compare that to a rise in price with reasonable non-extreme volume. The outcome would be very different.

I will help you cause people helped me here

It means that without dumb money and with 1/10 of the volume to get to all time high in google pump... we reached all time high now
It means that insiders are pumpng

Then will come the dumb money

it means the price is going to x20/x50 possibly

Wait so why is LINK wanting to get ISDA? Sounds like they just want outside capital so they can play swaps etc market.

How is that a good thing for the investor other than they'll have to shill hard to pump capital to meet requirements.

ISDA wouldn't be an investor, they'd be a customer. And if they used Chainlink to perform swaps or derivatives the price would explode. It'd be usage of a crypto product on a level that Ripple, Ethereum, or even Bitcoin could only dream of.

https://www.isda.org/2020/02/10/legal-guidelines-for-smart-derivatives-contracts-equities/

It looks like ISDA is just drawing up the contracts for it and that means big money is probably going to be somehow related to it. The thing is ISDA is for swaps. Kind of like insurance. I think the one of the biggest things to understand here is how big money intends on using the ISDA contracts, and why. They probably ran enough quantitative on it and would see it as profitable so they talked to ISDA so that this would be something they can make money off of. Usually that means the little guys lose.

I could see buying crypto outright but swaps on it could be hedging or outright betting against it. My guess is the latter two. Realistically this doesn't mean much, just that a bunch of retards think this will cause prices of cryptos to shoot up. Realistically this means crypto is likely going to increase in risk, as now you've got big money (large teams) looking at how to profit.

So long term this just means crypto for the little guy is probably going to be greater in risk, and lower in reward. Likely but not absolute.

As I'm a wagie I only bought 400 LINK @ 0,50$ in Feb 2018. But not selling.
Still, can anybody here explain to my stupid low IQ brain what the actual value of a LINK would be if ALL proclaimed goals are reached? I mean, why would this be worth anything in comparison to a payment coin like BTC, LTC etc? You know what I mean? What could I use 1 LINK for if it was @ 1000$, besides selling it? Then again, why would it be any worth?
