>The Chainlink integration will also help existing Arbitrum users. For example, if a project launches an Arbitrum rollup chain, but doesn’t have access to jreputable nodes, they can outsource validation to Chainlink nodes. Chainlink already has one of the largest collections of security-reviewed, Sybil-resistant, and fully independent node operators, which can serve as the validators for any Arbitrum computation, and scale to secure increasingly greater value over time.

ok i get it a little better, they cut the code in half, compute a hash of the contract state after that half executes, and if the challenger thinks the hash is wrong, the cutting in half continues until there is literally only one step of code to be hashed, and at that point the asserter provides a "one step proof" (whatever the fuck that is LOL) of the correctness of the hash or doesn't, the loser between challenger and asserter gives half their stake to the winner and the other half is burned, that is actually really cool wtf

arbitrum is using chainlink for two reasons: 1) because chainlink nodes are already security audited an sybil resistant so they're a set of trustworthy nodes to use for arbitrum's protocol and 2) the usual reasons: chainlink can use its decentralized oracle network to push data on/off chain for arbitrum with minimal trust required

This is big, however:

>At this point you might be worried that the tree of possibilities can get very large and branch-y. That’s not likely to happen in practice, because it would require multiple parties to stake on outcomes that are mutually inconsistent.

I hope they're not ignoring the fact that this may happen, because I think it definitely does and can greatly increase the complexity & runtime characteristics of a system like this.

My way of thinking has changed after browsing and buying link. I now really believe in animism and spirituality. Whenever i see frog figures i always pet them and send them a message in my head. Just this Wednesday I bought my first first frog figure. I've been browsing biz early summer 2019 but never bought link. When i went to vacation in PV i thought the turtle was a cool souvenir. The art form is calle huichol and they all have their own symbol. The lady told me that the symbol of the peyote was the symbol for health and success. That inclined me to purchase it. I believe i subconsciously chose it at the time because of the link symbolship. Kek is real and digists hold truth
