Yesterday a literal who startup posted pics of a presentation at an Oracle conference saying "Chainlink integration".
People were openly skeptical since there was no reliable source.

Now there is, the link in OP.
So it has been confirmed that Oracle is integrating Chainlink into its backend.

This isn't oracle4startups, this isn't Fernando, this is Oracle itself.

It pumped because of coinbase, the point is the oracle startup thing had zero positive impact on the price. And it's relevant now because it was all over crypto Twitter and the oracle association, any future oracle association even x100 more important, became equally priced in as a result. You only get the speculative effect of an announcement once, and chainlink first oracle announcement was wasted on a minor, and poorly strategized, collaboration. Regrettable when compared to the Google announcement for example which was perfectly executed marketing.

Crypto is not a rational market that follows logic. This is very good news for chainlink long term but its not gonna be create a short term pump. Maybe in q3 they'll release an official announcement once integration is done and you'll see a pump, but the real value there is the implied adoption over the long term.

You’re so proud of yourself for recognizing how significant the integration is for Chainlink. Good for you. You overestimate what the average person even knows about Chainlink/tech/crypto and general. For example, you started this thread as “the pics were real,” assuming that /biz/ is a hive mind that just autistically reads every thread and knows every Chainlink update in real time like you do. That might be true for some posters but not all. Now imagine the average person who doesn’t lurk /biz/ at all, they know even less than that. They might not even know how big Oracle is because it’s not a name like Apple or Google. It’s just background noise and it also shares the same name as the purpose of Chainlink so the average person isn’t gonna pump this token unless Oracle explicitly comes out and makes an announcement soon

I don't think it matters if Reddit midwits or retail sub 70iq normies see and understand this.

The fact is if the big boys want to take enterprise blockchain seriously they'll need to ChainLink to play.

lets be clear about two things here
1. blockchain is a glorified database, with additional capabilities and advantages that make it superior
2. different businesses have different business requirements

blockchain is in no way comparable to how the internet is a single global protocol.
different companies, industries, countries, etc. can and most likely WILL use different blockchains depending on business and security requirements.

to compare something like a database, that has different utility based on its configuration and management, to the fucking internet.... is not only unbelievably incorrect, it proves just how little you understand technology

im super bullish on blockchain in general. i get that smart contracts are game changing for most industries.
my point is moreso that there will absolutely not be one single blockchain platform that consooms all the others. there will be at least a handful of very successful blockchains in a decade, or there will be none. but it absolutely wont be a single blockchain that dominates 99.99% of the market

Different chains for different purposes?

What comes to link, I think if cryptomarket in its totality survives, chainlkink will survive and prosper. One won't exist without another.

So, in the end, it'll be a couple of chains + LINK.

listen here you illiterate fucking nigger. ive been nice. but let me copy and paste the answer to your question for the 5th fucking time.

"2. different businesses have different business requirements"
some businesses will want private platforms
some businesses will want public platforms
some businesses are going to want a more centralized platform, some businesses will be okay with a completely decentralized platform

some businesses will want platforms with opt-in privacy
some businesses will want platforms without any privacy whatsoever
some entities will just incorporate blockchains that are already conveniently in the pipeline for their region (see: ICON)

there are tons of reasons that not a single blockchain will dominate the entire industry. try thinking first before you ask such stupid questions.

Or there will be a one blockchain, where you can do everything mentioned and much more, and all the data in the world will be trustworthy, because it's stored in the blockchain.

It’s true tho. Ethereum- public chain, building privacy features on top. Centralized vs decentralized? Well, a centralized blockchain is a fancy database. It is an intranet to permissionless blockchain’s Internet. A good base layer must be highly secure and allow the desired parameters of your particular system to be built out on top. Your smugness makes you sound like an absolute brainlet

The guy you're quoting was talking about "a single blockchain that is both completely private and completely public".

So not "a public chain with privacy features".
