I feel like shit is about to hit the fan economically, should I keep looking for a job or stay where I’ve been for 4 years now?

What faggotry is this?

Just scout instead, no need in quitting your current job until you find an opening somewhere else.

But what if I leave my current job and then get hit with a recession and then I’m jobless. I have pretty good seniority where I’m at (city government job)

A recession doesn’t mean you’ll automatically lose money you mong, you should know that if you studied finance.

I am in the same position as you.

I have decided it's only worth leaving for 70k+ and ride out my current job until then. It's very risky to leave your job right now and put yourself at risk with a new position. However, if you leave, you can cash your 401k for only a 10% loss and that will give you savings for the incoming hell storm

It could mean I could lose a new job though

I'm in a similar situation. Comfortable situation making 50k/year living in my parent's house but the job is replaceable and I can't stay here for another year. I'm out as soon as I feel I have enough money to make the change.

Exactly which is why I’m thinking about staying until after the shit hits the fan
