it's called competition, and you already have an incorrect mindset, it's called business, and you have to build it, yes there are 50 fast food places in your city, so what, do the same thing, now you have entered the market, 100,000 people sell bicycle helmets, so can you.
The incorrect mindset is that you have to do something new thats never been done, you don't need to invent anything to make money, dont reinvent the wheel, just do what is proven.

Well, I had a sorta unique idea for a small coffee sshop that has never been done in my city...

Till I looked deeper. and one person is doing it, and she's been figuring things out for 2 years...and has 1300 followers on Instagram....and I have nothing. I know what you mean about competition....but it sounds like the social support is really what would drive it home.

you need a game plan, it's really math, you find a building the cost of how much it is a month, then are you working there? or are you getting an employee, what do you need? you would need to find someone to source you beans at a good price, and make sure the quality is good, if you have a game plan it cant fail, people think you need to franchise and do all this bullshit franchising is for brainlets, anyone can start a successful business, you need a game plan plain and simple, and if it fails it cant be make or break, if a business is going to make or break you should look at other options honestly

a small example, where i live there is a small coffee stand ran out of something like pic related, and they made 400k last year, there is also an elderly woman that sells flowers and made 250k she didnt sell pinyatas and snowblowers and shovels, just flowers, and the coffee stand doesn't have naked girls, or cats, or anything they just sell coffee, dont over think it.

I'll be clear.

I have an engineering degree, and I do cost estimates a lot. It's a bit different in the commercial sector, so I'm a bit confused as of right now. Don't get me wrong though, I'm pretty poor wih no family, and I've been working multiple jobs to pay off my loans...but I just have the strive to do a bit more. I have a bit of income right now.... so I want to see what I can have to offer.

Secondly I've been travelling a bit for work. I have stumbled upon a cat cafe in a city I'm in right now. I am going back home in about 8 months. so I have time to plan. I like this idea a lot, and I've been thinking about it. My cit is a big city, so there is most likely different and better locations. So it might be really good.

I am just worried about the current girl working on this business for the last 2 years. It looks like she has her shit figured out... with LOTS of marketing. And very active online. Not sure how I could make it happen. aha.

if I were in your position, you have a degree, so I assume you have real skills, and are some what smart.
but, I also do know the coin of being poor, and having that survival mentality.
Move, you have the internet, find a job that pays you well, and start a new life, pay the minimum on your loans, and save your money.

Best advice I can give you:
open a channel about soft cartoon / furry sex and LARP yourself as a women. Use some app to change your face into that of a women and post it in your youtube channel.

Thots sell very much better their stuff compared to men
You don't even image how many beta orbiters buy thot's stuff and support them on patreon only beacuse they are secretly fall in love with them

walk into her business and try and get a job, learn the behind the scenes things that got her to where she is. then piece out with vital info and start your own thing or buy her out/get a piece of the company if you can. this is currently what Im doing, Im trying to get into marketing/sales in a smaller business that is growing, I just walked in and spit some game about believing in what they are doing but I currently don't know shit marketing other then look and act professional. if this blows up in my face im in the same spot I was in before.
