Where do I start if I want to learn about economics?

Are there any books or even YouTube videos you would recommend for a total beginner?

OP, econ as a whole is a discipline of logic, most intro courses are speculation and theory and as you climb up it becomes a mathematical discipline where you examine trends and trade-offs. My advice is not to bother with non-mathematical econ. It's always some liberal/conservative professor pushing their political agenda with goofy numbers to back it up.

What you want to learn is statistics and econometrics. Start with MATH.

Start with this short book: https://mises.org/library/economics-one-lesson

Then browse that website's books, articles, videos, or whatever you find interesting.

Here's a series of videos where you can learn about Economics from the greatest Economist since Adam Smith.

Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt was where I started. Take it with a grain of salt, but it's pretty solid.

This, too.
That being said, economics is a pretty useless science. The first chapter of "The Map and the Territory" by Alan Greenspan highlights how economic forecasting is completely inept.
