This is somewhat what the wealthy are already trying to do, they fall into philanthropy to push change on social issues. There are other incentives too such as tax write offs, virtue signaling and an excuse to network with other well-connected people.

My interest in investing started when I realized there was room for my friends and I to experiment with alternative energy and novel manufacturing techniques. The problem with the traditional means of raising capital is that you need to write a business plan that makes a case for what you want to do and what experience you have that would increase the likelihood of success.
There is value in writing a business plan for the sake of your own clarity but no one would give me tens of millions of dollars to experiment in the field of alternative energy or manufacturing at this stage. I would need far more experience and expertise.
The only way to go around the traditional capital providers is to invest in risky high return assets like crypto.

Failing that there are probably wealthy widows who would like to be your sugar momma and fund your unusual ideas but I refuse to wear sweaters knitted by old ladies that are not my grandmother.
I would never do that gram-gram!
