Hey faggots, so I’ve recently started investing in the stock market and have been mostly focusing on tech, more specifically Microsoft due to the fact that it has very little volatility and almost always has an upward trajectory, for the last 5 years at least, I want to hear what other stocks you guys think are as fucking solid as MSFT, buying calls week over week is my plan as I don’t see its growth potential slowing any time soon

lmao

The advice that was given to me was invest in products or companies that you actually use. I picked Apple and Target and I’ve done over 100% on both. Microsoft is a staple, sure but what have they done for us lately? They’re not putting out a new tablet and phone every year or so. SharePoint is a fucking disaster. Outlook can be testy at best. We use their products because it’s what those who paved our way used. If they don’t fall in line they’ll die off with the boomers.
Also be careful with any sort of pharm or medical devices. I’ve been burned a couple times on some really innovative ideas because of politics. (Read: the money isn’t in the cure)

AMD has too many competitors

If any of you faggots are smart just dump money into visa, mastercard, msft and appl constantly. I promise in a few years you'll have a nice return. none of these companies are going anywhere.

I can't bring myself to buy giants like this, I prefer medium size like AMD, Sony or Take-Two.

Services. The license you pay comes with support and maintenance, and often cloud infra to support the application.
At this point the software itself is almost free. ANY open source software would require the maintenance services, documentation, bootstrap etc. which in fact is exactly what a bagillion IT firms provide
The open source vs not open source is basically a non-factor when you’re talking about shelfware. With large-scale implementations which would anyway require internal support, it’s a much more difficult question, but open source is much more prevalent there.

O365 and Azure are behemoths in their space. While AWS has the majority of general cloud computing, Azure has the VAST (~80%) majority of large enterprise business for cloud computing.

You really need to diversify your money, fren. Not saying Microsoft is a bad investment, but thinking that a stock will keep going up/ having low volatility just because of the past returns is wrong.
Just buy some index funds if you don't really know what you're doing.

MSFT is a based investment, ignore the shitcoin peddlers. Lots to look forward this year with the next gen Xbox dropping. Also, they stole a massive government cloud contract from Amazon and Google, meaning Azure will become the titan in cloud computing. IMO, you have a room temperature IQ if you don't have MSFT in your portfolio.

Additionally, check out SOXL anon. It is a 3x Leveraged ETF comprised of the titans of the semiconductor industry: Nvidia, AMD, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Intel, etc. As demand for faster computers, automation, AI, and IoT continues to trend upward so will semiconductor demand.

I fucked up not buying SOXL when it was below $200. Is it too late now anon?

Never too late fren. Lots of semiconductor infrastructure in China... so I’d wait to see if Coronachan puts a dent in the supply chain. Buy the fuck out of any SOXL dip spurred on by media hysteria (i.e. the Iran scare a few weeks back, and the dip last Friday).

Because the 3x leverage makes it more volatile, it is ideal for swing trading.
