Aside from adding transparancy and economic incentives to pre-existing cryptocurrency models, thus breathing life to the form of money that will unironically dominate the next few thousand years? Nah, I don't think he's very involved aside from that. Oh, giving this new cryptocurrency a catchy name like "Bitcoin" was a neat touch as well.
