>if you know any other good places to buy silver
Okay, I just have to say it.
The best place to buy bullion/bars is from a dealer, usually a family owned coin shop or second hand jewelry store. You shouldn't pay more than 3% above spot, though most places will sell slightly below if they're making enough profit or need to dump. Buying online is fucking stupid unless you live somewhere remote because the mark up kills any potential for quick profit. You'll never make anything unless you HODL for years on end.

Also, silver is silver. Don't spend extra on "fancy" designs unless you know the design is desirable and will appreciate in value. Paying an extra $5 for a plain American flag on a bar that's only $15 in weight kills any profit margin. I feel this is common sense, but I wanted to say it because it bothers me to no end to see people on this board think they're getting a bargain when they pay twice silver weight for what is only worth scrap.

I own 1000 ounces of silver in physical and another 400 on paper.

If 10% of your check went to a Roth 401, and 10% went to a company stock program and you still had $1,400 a month burning a hole in your pocket, wwyd?
I could max out my 401 and Roth, or buy a rental, but I can't stomach the idea with everything being at cartoon levels of all time highs.

Hello euro fren
I buy from a local dealer called TAVID who are also represented in some other EU countries: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Bulgaria (they're branded TAVEX in other countries i think)
They originate from Estonia and seem to be the most reputable dealer here.

I really like what Scotsdale Mint puts out though and i feel like making a big order from Murica. I'd have to spend over 500 USD to get free shipping. Worth it?

Scotsdale, the specific mint i want stuff from, offers free shipping after 500 USD, otherwise i think its a flat rate of 6.50 USD which isnt all that bad either desu

Stuff I want from Scotsdale adds up to 20oz (5oz bars mostly, various ones) That comes to about 530 USD which converts to 479 EUR

If I bought the same amount of maple leafs from Tavid from my local shop (25oz) I would pay 414 EUR

so, I would end up paying a premium even if i avoid the shipping cost

thanks for asking me this cuz i didnt really do any math on this before lol

Buying silver now is similar to buying gold at a huge discount, but by the time it all matters, it might be a pain in the ass to trade it for gold. The dealer is from Germany. In Germany there is no way to avoid VAT on normal silver bars as private person. We have instead „Münzbarren“(lit. Doorkicking is expensive and impractical. They'll just pass a punitive tax on precious metal capital gains (like 95%), and normies wont complain because normies don't own metals and aren't affected. You can try to evade the tax but at that point it's the phys equivalent of holding a crypto that's banned from exchanges.

They win no matter what. They'll simply offer an amount of the currency they print at will to holders that can't be refused and be done with it. Yes, as long as there is no clear description of what a dollar even is, (((((((They))))))) will have control over it because, as it stands, it's exactly what it's definition is. Make sense?

i'll give a rundown for all you bullion collectors
jewelry has different rules to bullion
the scrap value of something like this is ~10 bucks, like one anon mentioned. maybe even less.
however the rings will easily resell for ~50 if you sit on them long enough, and the necklace is 35-50.
I keep a few jewelry items in gold, diamonds, silver etc as part of my hedge because resale value on jewelry still exists, and if it moons then you take that to scrappers and double your cash anyways.
