remember the 2017 Christmas jacknife on BTC? that's where this is. parabolic pumps happen at the end of the market cycle. first steep drop is a warning to gtfo.

this reminds me exactly of the bitcoin/crypto charts in 2017. you look at a lot of stocks and the charts SHOW and TELL you that this growth is inorganic. its just being pumped and propped up by the fed and cheap money. the companies are stagnant in revenue growth yet their stock has gone up 50-70% in the past 2-3 years. whats even more hilarious is how many zoomers are going to get BTFO'd having never gone through a recession in the stock market before, everyone out here thinking theyre making easy money just going long lol. its going to be absolutely satisfying seeing the seething neets "buying the dip"

>> No.17033218

>>17033181
it's crazy how identical the patterns are. in 2017 BTC ran up to about 18k really fast, then spiked down to about 11k for a day around Christmas, then back up to ATH around 19k. we all know what happened next. in hindsight, I always knew that spike down to 11k was a clear signal, but I ignored it because there was so much hype in the air at the time.

>> No.17033247

>>17033218
similar boat. it was my first time actually being in the market for any financial instruments. but ill be damned if i didnt learn a fuck ton from that hysteria based market cycle. so even though i lost some money the lesson learned will be much more valuable down the line in life than the thousands i lost. especially when so few people ever get exposed to such a market dynamic.

No, you're fine, I'm a big Tesla lover as in the company, but the valuation is fucking retarded. Until they build not just 1 model under 20K, but an entire line under 20K, they will never be owned mainstream enough to justify their valuation. Tesla is a luxury car company that is valued as a leader in technology, based entirely around the idea that one day everyone is going to buy a Tesla car, or they'll be taking you to the moon. But as always, the market will remain irrational longer than I could remain solvent, so I have never dared shorting it.

>> No.17033577

>Why are the stocks in the technology sector in the US exploding, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Tesla?
It's because of the economic situation in Europe, a good portion of the capital, generated by the 0-interest-rates of ECB, flows across the Atlantic into the US stock market, because the markets in Europe are satisfied. That's why Tesla is going through the roof, right now, it's also the reason, they the Deutsche Bank stock could improve by 44% since Aug 2019 (because they're re-organizing their balance sheet, and are investing now first and foremost in the US, yet with EU money.)

I just don't see them ever going have interest in making a made-for-public-consumption 25K car, all their 'affordable' models start at upper 30's, and that's without their auto-pilot, the main reason anyone wants a Tesla. Once you add in that, you're into the mid-40's, back to the luxury car market. I mean maybe one day they'll decide to, and I had faith they would for a while, but this is not a new company anymore, it's like hoping BMW makes a $25K car. And then the REAL issue is, that 25K car has to hold up to snuff, people are going to expect quality from them. I just don't see it as likely to pan out well.

That's cool, but it's not yet that time imo.

I remember when BTC ran to 7k in 2017, everyone was saying it was too parabolic, it's too steep, it's gonna crash.
Every trader worth their salt on TradingView was almost all out, had a sold all their positions.

But it still ran to 20k before crashing.

Imo the hysteria still isn't crazy enough. I give this one or two more legs up, just enough to get the laggards hyped and ready to buy the top.

Their software is google maps. The autopilot costs extra and can be in any of their cars. Same with their motors and batteries.
So I ask again, why is the S such a huge price jump? The actual interior and stuff inside is low tier at best.
