How much does it cost to make your own simple website?

With a forum, paid membership etc

Decent websites made by real developers and not pajeets range from 900USD up to 3k USD.

I ran my own simple website on my home internet connection for years using an old computer from 1997. In 2012 I upgraded to a brand new $300 server. The only cost apart from electricity is $15/year for the domain name.

Nothing, if you don't need your own domain name.

You can set up a website in less than a day on Wordpress, Wix, Weebly, etc. and just have a yourname_wordpress_com address.

Otherwise it can range from a few bucks a month to a few bucks a year depending on hosting.
