Small business manufacturing Grants... Does anyone know anything about acquiring these? Any good lenders or government programs? I have a small business that is over a year old and selling an original product(s) internationally. I need to scale but to do so requires more capital investment/investors. I will have less than 4 employees/contractors in 2020 but cannot do this out of pocket.

Depends on what province, if you are in Quebec should be really easy. If you are in Alberta good fucking luck.

Looks like there's some government resources for finding what you're eligible for https://www.canada.ca/en/services/business/grants.html
and this seems pretty helpful:

thank you.
I have actually skimmed this site a few months ago, but it seems unless you are a tech company or a non-profit there are little options. although i haven't explored all options yet.

my product is a redesign/improvement of an older established product...

it promotes mental health and can be used as therapeutic tool.

FML i should have developed an APP

you need investors, op. find somebody good and they are much better than a (((bank))). finding a good backer/investor is tough though. don't make anybody a partner or owner. your best bet is somebody that can just loan the cash at an agreed upon rate. start talking to real estate investors. go to local meetings and such.
t. owner financing over $800k in real estate right now.

so your saying real-estate investors may be interested in a product that has nothing to do with real-estate?

this would be applicable to any rich business people correct?

I went through and assumed not incorporated and there was 3 funding options which weren't suitable, so I changed to incorporated and found a few potential ones..
https://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/125.nsf/eng/home
or if you don't mind hiring a student
https://nrc.canada.ca/en/support-technology-innovation/nrc-irap-funding-hire-young-graduates

There's a some potential tax credits too:
https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/employment-business/investment-capital/venture-capital-programs/eligible-business-corporation/tax-credits

and loans:
https://www.bdc.ca/en/financing/business-loans/pages/small-business-loan.aspx

Honestly government funding is so fucking gay, all the requirements for most shit is retarded, they're giving millions to random shit tier projects to encourage "green" technology or some shit. The money could go a lot further with 100k to a few dozen small business startups in any reasonable industry.

thanks anon,
I'm going to look into all these and if they don't work out I'm going to have to just start a glory hole pop-up and crush it for 6 months to make the capital myself...

>start a business they said - it would be fun they said

I hope it doesn't come to that, maybe you can work with credit cards or unsecured line of credit, paying them off before interest accrues as you get more sales.
Good luck anon, I hope you do well in your business and have many white babies.

thank you, i hope it doesnt come to that either...
i will do my best, and raising a family could be around the corner.
