So everybody is talking about adoption with Chainlink. What exactly happens to Chainlink's price if someone like Barclays announced they would be using it? Would that be an instant x10, x100, x1000?

chainlink isnt going to do shit until the developers dump that 350mil stack to "incentive the network".
the dev's still hold 63% of the entire supply, who's gonna buy this up to $10 when they are going to get dumped on? link is going to be a long hold with many more 700k's to come; but it will by far be the best.

Nulinker, yes that happened some months ago.
And yes that is my biggest personal concerns regarding the project that the team will suppress the price by dumping once it reaches certain levels.
The other fear is that they implement some sort of fractional reserve in which the network will be much less valuable than the value it secures.

The price will only go up and stay there once the network is actually being used, and there is real demand for link to stake as collateral for big contracts, until then, its just speculation and hype driving the price

the price is determined by supply and demand. Understand that first before investing your money in shitcoins.

The team holds a big percentage of the supply and they've proven they are happy to sell it when the price is right. When they sell, they create sell pressure and this keeps the price low. If you want to buy something, why would you do it when they know that there is so much of it and the price will go down inevitably.

An analogy would be: you're looking to buy a house that is a bit overpriced. You convince yourself to buy it because even though it's overpriced, it might go up in price in the future because there will be others like you wanting to buy houses.

Suddenly, the municipality approves the construction of an additional 500 apartment buildings. You decide that it's not worth it to buy the overpriced house because the supply has increased and the prices will go down.

It's the same shit here, but you already know the supply is high and the only thing keeping the price at this level is your trust in the team that they will not dump everything on you. The higher the price goes, the higher their incentive is to dump, hence that anon's post about "who's gonna buy at 10$"
