It takes fucking forever just to break even on laundromats. Each machine can only do like 1-2 loads an hour and you have to account for water and electricity, plus inevitable maintenance. You can make a bit more by selling soap and maybe a food vending machine. It will probably take a few years just to break even on the equipment and by then you need to start thinking about investing in new machines since they're getting such heavy use

What kind of hood market are you looking at? If you were near some studio apartments or weekly hotels I could see it being a cake walk compared to single family projects or manufactured/mobile home lots.

Either way, yea, if your overhead is reasonable I would definitely go for it unless there's another cleaners too close to the spot where you can get your decent rates.
