bruh, crypto was a life changer in 2017 and I personally made hundreds of thousands but shit's changed. Time to move on.
SOXL is the answer. Face it. Semiconductors are crack in all but name. The desire for newer, faster, more is insatiable. Computers, GPUs, self-driving electric cars, AI enhanced smartphones, medical devices, microcontrollers, networking gear, machine learning, surveillance, infrastructure, military, the list is endless. No matter how many cores, how fast or efficient, demand requires bigger, faster, cheaper, better. The clamor for fresh silicon gives nary shit for national identity, creed, hue, gender, asshole virginity or other vain conceit; the multitude speaks in singular. The plea: semiconductor.
SOXL couples a single ETF entry point with the the best companies the space has to offer then pushes these already stellar returns to the limit with 3x leverage. With SOXL your economic interests are aligned with powerhouses Nvidia, Qualcomm, Intel, Broadcom, AMD, Micron, Texas Instruments, Applied Materials, et al. Real tech companies with innovative products people want, not """tech""" """companies""" pushing shitty ads. And like all leveraged ETFs, SOXL is rebalanced daily, deftly mitigating margin risks.
In the last 7 years, SOXL has exploded over 55x yet still we are early. Semiconductor growth will proceed exponentially until every viable space is saturated with it. This is a fait accompli; the sheer number of interested parties and obviously compelling outcomes make it so. The injection of increasingly compact and efficient sensors, microcontrollers, information processing and storage into everywhere and everything will be this era's seminal revolution, a revolution with SOXL holders planted firmly at the receiving end.
Stop waiting for the "pullback". Where we're going, fretting over a few dollars is meaningless. The deliberation is over; waiting is a failure mode. Now. Buy it now.

anyway, heres my picks for the first half of 2020
but dont trust me i have no idea of what im talking about, do your own research
>AOI
unless you bought AOI last week when i wrote about it on /smg/ you might be better off avoiding it for now, it's since gone up about 30%, but it will likely continue upwards throughout 2020
oil production is ramping up, kenya pipeline in the works, etc.

>NET_B
red tiger acquisition last year should produce good numbers for 2020, as should the increase in online betting in the US. online betting revenue grew 11% in new jersey in december, and this should show in their Q4 report. cash flow should amount to a decent dividend return in 2020 as well.
bought this two days ago

>NOK
massive underdog, stock dropped 35% or so when dividends were halted. multiple 5G development and deployment deals around the globe. hybrid networks, network security (end-to-end, etc). nokia is likely to rise significantly throughout 2020 and 2021 due to world wide 5G deployment.
i think i wrote about nokia some time ago in /smg/, im since up almost 20%

Our interest here is to make it so a horizon of a couple decades at most. In that context, we're at 7nm now and designs all the way down to 1 are on the drawing board. There are also alternative substrates like gallium nitrite are being investigated to pick up where current limits leave off. Lastly consider present tech isn't evenly distributed so even if all development stopped (it won't of course), there is the work of satisfying the demand outlined in the pasta. Consider the slower pace of CPU speed increases since 2011 has done nothing to slow the pace of the semiconductor industry's growth.
I could go on but I wouldn't worry too much over it. Just buy all the SOXL you can and get rich with me

For the fearful there is SPXL, the 3x ETF based on the S&P. It's been simulated backtested for 150 years and even in the worst of times never came close to a liquidation event. Returns were orders of magnitude greater than the market. Don't forget circuit breakers too. If you are really too pussy to reach for real man's gains, check out SSO, the 2x S&P ETF. The market would have to drop more than 50% in a single day for it to get liquidated.

Market's been going up since 2009 and yes it will continue
Central Bank of Japan printed 150% of GDP in the last 10 years,
Japan government debt close to 300% yet they are still close to zero inflation and they say they have a lot room to ease
Switzerland printed 100%+ of their GDP in the last 10 years, imposed negative rates of -0.8% and their currency just got stronger
What makes anybone believe that the Fed which prints US$ - the world reserve currency cannot get to those numbers?
Current balance sheet is just 25% of GDP but because the US$ is a reserve currency they can probably sustain 100% of the world GDP which I believe is around 80 trln
Yes it seems crazy but get back 10 years ago and think about what we have now - it seemed totally crazy that central bank will monetize federal debt
So in our lifetime this charade can easily be sustained
They will just print 1 trln per year maybe increasing this number 10% per year. It will get stocks 10-20% per year growth on average indefinitely

So if you buy some SPXL and want to sell it you can just buy an equal amount of SPXS to take the opposite side of the trade. It isn't perfect but it gets the job done. Not exactly. Close but since the Russell is composed of small companies, those companies are impacted in different ways by things like the trade war and tariffs. They don't do as much foreign business and are less reliant on imports/exports so in the situation we are in right now you would expect them to react differently. In the long term the Russell goes up and down with the overall market but there are some short term vicissitudes like today where it out or underperforms significantly. Worth keeping an eye on. Also I find the RUssell is easier to trade in the futures market as it is less subject to the whims of algorithmic traders so if you plan on ever trading there it's worth getting a feel for how it moves.

Oh, I'm not sure I fully agree, but then again I'm not very well versed in the specifics of the renewables push. I do think imposing those restrictions would hamper China's admittedly outdated industrial systems though, which would probably divert some capital into US markets instead. Do you actually think the failure to secure those things in the phase one deal will impact our economy? I'm curious, I don't think "having a planet still" will sway many emerging markets to care about sustainability over growth, but I could see an argument being made for it.

That's the wrong question to ask, senpai. The real question is of significance. Assuming that the data depicted is true, what does it mean? The assumption that we all naturally make is that such a tiny portion of the atmosphere can't possibly have significant ramifications on the earth or our way of life, but that's not necessarily true. I'm not saying it's false, or even that the data shown in the graph is accurate, but these are the questions you should be asking.

If another big short moment was to happen I don't think the media would react well to the armchair economists who correctly called the causes of a big crash redpilling the general public on debt cycles and fed corruption through GSIBC. I don't know what the failure rate is, I do know that many of the funds are extremely illiquid and very trigger happy to pull the plug on distributions if they feel any slight cashflow problems that might cause undue drawdown in the portfolio compared to equity funds which are usually able to pay out a ton more before they start feeling squeezed for cash.

There are so many ways to get a solid indexed approach to real estate that don't require dealing with the bullshit REIT's throw at you. Even just a REIT index is way better since the payouts are more even and the volume isn't based on when your REIT has decided it has enough cash to do a redemption for you, they're always liquid, always making income, and always able to redeem your full holdings at any time.

3D Systems (DDD) got an analyst downgrade today to $9 PT and sell.

Loop Capital analyst Ananda Baruah downgraded 3D Systems to Sell from Hold with a $9 price target. The analyst cites "peak valuation" on the stock following an 80% appreciation in its price since August as its enterprise value to expected EBITDA approaches the 1.5-year high of 40-times, noting that while the company has stabilized its revenue and may continue to show progress through 2020, it is difficult to gain conviction in the traction of EBIT being "commensurate with peak valuation".

like an anime? No probably not. I can't get into it if it's all anime. It just seems like something only kids would watch.... BUT a mix of anime and real people is ok.. like a documentary type thing... the only one i've watched in that sense is the one on the barefoot bandit.. maybe I liked it because I followed the story back when it was happening and now they can animate the parts to describe it better? because honestly even like crime shows when they try to reenact something with real people it's usually pretty lame..

It's maybe also because most anime is for fags. There's hardly any anime which is more adult oriented. It's all just moe shit for pseudo trannies.

fucc I feel like girls never wear that combination of high-waist skirt, tight white shirt tucked in, and even a bowtie? goddamn
I mean even in Japan girls don't dress like that. But I've never been there so who knows, right

I feel like you made a questionable decision with that buy.
I don't want to give you any advice, I want to see what you decide to do next on your own.
Do you think that you should sell?

Alrighty, ill give reasons. No TTM P/E because no earnings. Negitive forward P/E, negative earnings, sub 1% profit margins 866 debt to equity ratio. the 11% divvy is paid for by what? the money they aren't making? Debt perhaps? Now, i'm open to hear why you think the fundamentals are good

-Attendance at ATH
-70 yr old law preventing theater/studio mergers axed (recent acquisitions put AMC at $22-24/share if acquired at similar $$/screen)
-Subscription service works, great, and blew initial signup expectations out of the water
-Debt refinanced until 2024
-concessions revenue up
-streaming is a bubble
-theaters boom in recession (soonTM)

And they are building luxury theaters in Saudi Arabia

Also I don't know what those finance terms mean I am from crypto

new to investing and trade.
my thoughts as i watch my first stock purchase of two shares of TSLA dip 4% in opening trading of the next day and try to comfort myself with flowery words and rationale.

This is why you have it over and over again highlighted in the intelligent investor that character and emotional control are absolutely Paramount.
For instance, a person seeing that their stock Choice was down 4% in the opening trading of the next day, and not being aware of the nature of the market and the nature of trade and investment, might panic and sell and think they will recoup their losses by buying at a lower number and riding it up.
This is wrong.
Because they've already lost the second they sell.
Character and emotional control comes in when one sees the 4% dip feels that wave of panic but then zooms out and relaxes, because they know that while they lose this money if they sell low, one does not lose money if they have to hold a little longer to make profit, only time. You only lose money on trade if you buy high but most importantly sell low.
So don't sell. Relax. Your day trade just became a swing trade. Or your swing trade just became a long-term investment.
This is one of the huge benefits of not speculating on lesser-known stocks, but only participating in the leading Brands and companies with a solid underlying use value independent of share price.
The only risk for the trader in this way is that they accidentally become an investor.

Sorry for the Reddit spacing but it's kind of the nature of blog post. Would love any insight or feedback or criticism

Yes, but the trick is finding those stocks and it's not clear when it becomes more profitable just to hold it long term. TSLA is easy money, nearly everything else is a great mystery.

august 23, 2019 the trading price was $210. it effectively gained 150% in 4 months. everybody is offloading for profits/pull back. if youre not going to take a look at the chart before entering at trade, youre going to be holding this shit for 6-9 months before you break even again. if youre doing that you are missing out on an opportunity at other more profitable trades EVEN if you make 1%...your opportunity cost is fucking ENORMOUS.

Actually take a look at the chart, see that it was trading at 280 four years ago, and realize what a correction is. A short term pullback means nothing here, the intermediate and long term outlook is bullish and the price is likely to stay relatively high.

If you seriously think this is the top, short it for the next "6-9 months" and see how you make out.
