I really and I mean it honestly, I was in the earliest BTC threads and found it very interesting. I was maybe 15 years old and yes I have been browsing 4chan since then, im 26 now. And I gave up after a while because I was a dumb teenager who couldn't find out how to buy it. It sucks bros, I could have had millions in my twenties.. But I remind myself at such young age I couldn't have understand the scope of btc and how big it would get. I really did think it would get big, but maybe like 15 dollars or so big lol. i couldnt fully grasp the concept of bitcoin having fiat value as a young doomer, i just thought of it as a way to buy drugs. literally spent probly 10+btc in my life. back when you could mine feasibly on cpu, i attempted to install “macminer” on my shit laptop but never got it working right and gave up. at the time you could easily mine a few btc in the course of months but it was so cheap and fudded i never really thought of it as an investment or long term hold. when btc broke 1k again and stayed there i was buying off local btc and the seller told me to buy some ethereum (it was 1-2$ i think) but once again i couldn't really grasp why smart contracts were needed or what they really did so i slept on it. i was salty about the missed gains so i finally put money in before the 2017 bullrun after coming to biz when it was ripe with volatility. moonbois were crazy back then the gains were so stupid it just didnt make sense, it seemed like it wasnt even real. but at the same time it was just as easy to get dumped on back then. anyone who made it off crypto was mostly through luck, bold conviction, and non-emotional trading. there have been far far more losers than winners. i was just trying to find the “next big coin” back then, but things are different now since the normies got dumped on. i believe trust less self executing smart contracts tied to real world data could really improve the world if used for good. just like i believe in p2p currency and being ur own bank. hopefully we all fucking make it.
