miners are selling every pump, their lives depend on it. they have to force old miners into capitulation before the halving. s9 miners need to go because if we have an 80% correction ona premature rally after the halving and the old miners go offline then the network stalls the price drops further a hardfork will be required to get it out of a death spiral and probably an other chain split will result and the chaos will drop the price further.

the miners with new hardware will still be profitable at $5k but the old miners are starved and forced off gradually. and then we can have a healthy ramp up before the halving triggered by miners decreasing sell pressure.

this is the best case scenario but for it we have to hit sub $6k this spring. and sustain a sub $7k for many weeks.

>> No.16793765

>>16793754
also based on hashrate chart s9 miners did not capitulate yet at all they only went offline on price drops below $7.1k and came back online when it pumped. this however is extremely dangerous.

obviously old miners want to run their hardware to the last minute it can be profitable. but it exposes the bitcoin network to mass capitulation risk after the halving on a natural market correction.

the fuckers need to go.

now in retrospect, BTC/USD formed an absolute textbook bullish reversal right before taking off massively.
any fucking retard could have traded that successfully (i didn't)

no "manipulation" there, just a BLATANTLY transparent textbook-pattern that induced a massive short-squeeze

based on hashrate chart 30 to 40% of the hashpower is having trouble sustaining work below $7k. this has decreased a lot with new 7nm miners hitting the market it was way worse. so miners updating their hardware and also increasing sell pressure now are doing all of us a favor.

>> No.16793800

>>16793780
this old hashpower will worst case capitulate below $14k after halving when pre-halving pump is expected to take us to $10k to $12k only and a dump after (sell the news) imagine a 40% capitulation with a price drop and stalling network hitting the news along the halving... people will panic like retards and sell and this will make it worse it may force additional miners out the game at $8k which will confirm the bearish bias and result in more sell pressure.

man the more i play this scenario in my head the worse it looks. i can almost see the fucking posts on this board reaming about the death of bitcoin by the hundreds.

>> No.16793804

>>16793780
are you implying miners have money for the new 7nm, ok now everyone is 7nm. price still tanking below 4k
now what

>> No.16793811

so don't fomo long now that's the tldr because if bitcoin is to survive it has to drop right fucking now. that's the bullish scenario.

>> No.16793822

>>16793804
miners are buying the new devices this is clear from the hashrate chart and news. if price tanks below $4k pre halving we will get fucked. but again currently the only relentless sell pressure is from miners. over 70% of the bitcoin is in hodl. the sentiment is preparing for an other bull run.

smart miners can also use future markets to hedge. when you expect revenue in bitcoin and you know it will get lower because you and your buddies basically control supply shorting it makes absolute sense. it locks in profitability. i would say smart miners are high leverage short from 12k to 14k. they may have started low leverage but could safely withdraw and sell since and put in stop profits.

>> No.16793835

>>16793822
which also means we will go through $14k like hot knife through butter when the time comes. do not expect much resistance or correction there.

>> No.16793853

>>16793811
So the price must tank now in order to make those little miners capitulate? What would be the target price to make them unprofitable ?

under 7k for a sustained period. down to $5.3k is safe and correlates with other ta.

basically i expect a gradual drop with pumps and dumps a lot of time spent at 6.3k and some under it in feb or march. turning the tide from 5.3k to 5.4k would be ideal and ramp up into the halving.
