Using regressions to predict stonk prices

Greetings /biz/
I'm trying to use financial data and previous stonk prices to predict the end of quarter price for the stonk. Are there any discord groups out there to help facilitate this?
An example of my work so far: using stonks Beta's from 1/1/1990-9/10/2001 from the S&P500, I was able to predict the prices a few years down the line based on the S&P500's prices then.
Things are not as accurate as I desire, so more data must be collected. Is there a place to get the financial data from the financial statements aside from the SEC EDGAR tool? Because that site fucking sucks.

Why do you think you can do this better than the other thousand data scientists who know how to web scrape and use the CAPM? If you don’t have a solid answer, don’t do it unless you’re just trying to get better at coding.

I definitely do not think I will be better than the data scientists, but I do know my way around a regression. I hope to improve my skills and maybe make some money

Good luck. I considered doing this but then really started thinking about why it’s probably not going to work out. Financial institutions have a ton of folks doing this and most don’t beat the market.
