Let's talk about online businesses (drop shipping, youtube channels, web apps, web games etc.) and the road to riches

>> No.16728597

E-whoring anyone?

>> No.16728636

Dropshipping is a scam. Because there's such a low barrier to entry, everybody is doing it. You probably can make more money selling "how to dropship" lessons

If you have a good marketing strategy to win over all these idiots that are doing it (and it's not hard) it's still viable.

Currently filling Tinder thot pussy on video and selling it to boomers. A good custom video can make upwards of $100. Most of the sales go for $5-10 though. Slowly building up a passive stream of income from re-selling. Averaging $300 a month. Currently looking into a tor service for this. Playing around with various ideas like an auction site.

I find them usually just going through hashtags on social media. Going by the dumb purchases a boomer might make like a boat lets me know they will probably make the purchase.

Then check their age. Over 50s work best, less tech savvy and more perverted. Married helps as well as they're likely not getting any anymore and it could be used as leverage for doing something shitty like a chargeback/refund later (I've never had to thus far).

It's been a lot of initial set up work, to get the fake accounts, some fake followers and finding out what works. Now there is a lot less effort.

>>16729107
Thanks Anon. I just wish these dumb boomers could use crypto, it would make my life operation run a lot smoother.

>finally can stop wagecucking for 6 months
>feel amazing, motivated, hitting the gym hard, learning new skills and reading a whole lot more - all of these things are fun to do!
>realize I won't get rich on crypto
>try to learn skills to make money online
And this is where I'm panicking. There's so many gurus and shills out there for bullshit courses on everything. I'm not sure what even exists and what is even possible to get into entirely new with a couple thousand dollars.

I wanted to learn amazon fba, but with all the fake gurus and people selling on amazon the past 10 years, the chinese, it just seems like I'll probably waste my time and lose money. Lots of people are constantly saying how it's a waste of time and over saturated. Same with dropshipping. Affiliate marketing has almost every niche saturated either with a million indians with shit sites or a couple of big players. Youtube is also going downhill.
I know it would be a good idea to just do something and learn, but I'm absolutely terrified of getting shilled into the wrong thing. I'm afraid of losing the money I have that will let me live a couple more months without working for an employer again. I've enjoyed doing things for myself too much at this point. I've stopped drinking every single day and smoking weed every other day. I didn't know you could feel this content with life.

What actually isn't a shill anons? I just need $2500/mo and that takes care of everything I could want. According to everyone else making money online that should be easy since they are all making 50k+/mo

>> No.16729263

>>16729233
They're all making 50k a month by lying. You could build a YouTube channel or podcast but that'll ake a couple years. In 6 months the best you could get is 1-200/mo

1-200/mo doing what exactly? I can definitely see how selling things online can make 5 figures, but it just feels like I'm late to the party for everything

I have been following the work online shit for years. You will feel like you're too late no matter what. I felt like I was too late to get into SEO back in 2012 because it was fucking everywhere . As soon as an online business hits the meta, normalfaggots shill it to the extreme. Online businesses also have a PITA barrier to entry, that's just the name of the game.

It doesn't matter what you pick, you're not going to exceed 200 dollars/mo with any online business is under a couple months. It takes time and you H A V E to learn to sort through the shit. If you want a low-risk, low barrier to entry online business, pirate photoshop, learn to use it, and put some shit on Redbubble.

Dropshipping is oversaturated and will ultimately end in unhappy customers. Do the same research you would do to find a dropshipping product, order that product OEM and put a brand label on it. Either store the product in your garage or in a decent warehouse. Now you actually have a business that is sustainable, easy to improve on, doesnt rely on scammy chinese sellers, doesnt have to follow trends, etc.

Also, study something or a field (think electrician work, office work, business, etc.) Not in a sense of doing that job or getting a degree, but independent research. Enough to know what youre talking about. Create a blog about that field (Electrician's Digest, Stories of a Nurse, etc.) Become an authority figure. Write blogs and articles related to that field. After a month or two with generating traffic, affiliate market a product and tie in why every (insert profession here) needs one. "This multimeter is the best ive ever found. Its rugged, durable, affordable, and has x y z features. You can get one here:" not that short, make it in depth. Youre marketing a product, not giving a command. People hate being sold shit. You want to plant the idea that its something they wanted in the first place. "You know what ive always hated about my scrubs? The material just doesnt feel nice. Im in these clothes all day, with them getting soiled in god knows what in the ER. I knew i wasnt the only one because my coworkers kept saying the same thing. Then one introduced me to (insert brand). Best feel of my life. " etc. Im phone posting so the quality of this post but there are certain steps you need to check off in order to viably do ecommerce.

You misunderstand me, the production of writing isn't the issue, it's getting someone to read it. Putting it in front of an audience - presenting it in a way that people will actually give it their attention.

It'll help but it won't make or break your blog, realistically. It could be your topic of choice, it found be that your writing isn't that interesting. It could be the way you're marketing yourself. It could be that you don't have enough time invested yet.

Ever heard of theworsttingsforsale? It's a blog about shit amazon products. The website is bloated and slow without adblock. The author has somehow found a way to be occasionally grating, but, it's unique.

Oh, they've also been writing it for literal years. Advertising your blog is necessary, yes, but you have to have something to keep people's interest.

E.g., if you write a blog about what you've cooked this week, nobody gives a fuck. If you write a blog about surviving on a 100/month food budget, that's inherently more interesting and will naturally come with advice that the reader can take away and apply to their own life.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your blog about?

Just tell me what advertising forms work. Don't tell me what to write about what not to use, tell me what works, how to use it, how much time and cost it requires, what topic or context is best suited.
I don't have a blog anymore because no one visited, I wrote about film theory.
I want to get more hits from my Instagram to promote my photography and other hustles (they already make money but I want to scale up).
I'm also making music videos for bands, and I don't know which blogs or places to submit the videos to get maximum exposure - technically the bands themselves should worry about them, but I want to know how this works so I can get more work.

There is no 1 place. There is no set amount of time. You have to try everything a dozen times, and sometimes, something magic happens and it sticks. SEO works. Hailcorporate-style grassroots advertising works. YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, snapchat. It depends on your audience--boomers probably aren't interested in film theory, and zoomers in college don't use normiebook. There's a million fucking factors, and as I mentioned before, YOUR SKILLS AS A WRITER ARE VITAL TO MAINTAINING INTEREST. Maybe you're just a shit writer, I don't know; maybe you're a fantastic writer and your advertising is as transparent as Hillary Clinton and turns people off. Maybe you're only missing a decent hook. I can't tell you that, anon.

I wasn't telling you what to write, faggot, I was giving an example of the cooking blog because that twist is what makes the concept interesting. "Film theory" is pretty generic... Were you doing something similar to "Now You See It" on YouTube, where they break down genres and tropes? "Film Theory" doesn't tell me much, nor does it excite me as a reader.

You'll could try 100 blogs and have 2 get any attention. If this was just as simple as writing a blog and then shilling it, literally every Norman on the streets would be doing it.

Having a website dedicated to your photography hustle, if you don't already have one, would help. Will making a website for get you millions of eyes? Nope, but it'll help.

I wish you the best of luck, anon, but you need to use that thing between your shoulders. Even the shittiest ventures can go far if you pander in the right way. I can't stand the Oatmeal, but this image taking the piss of his garbage webcomic proves that he understands how marketing and the lowest common denominator meet.

I didn't follow a single amazon/guru course and I do well for myself. I give away all the basic information for free on my discord. It's really all about individualizing your product and finding products that should do well and just making a copy or derivative work for it.

I have 2 main products that do a combined $25-30k/month with around 55% of that being net profit to me. I have a new product I spent $30k to launch and that is coming online this month.

Join the discord /cg3z9M
I am planning to start a youtube that basically just takes all the guru courses (i found a bunch for free), digest them and in a 20 minute or less video go over the most necessary parts without charging anything.

My goal is to get support by the community by just buying my products or helping me launch new ones. I will also use all profits from the youtube ads/subs and create a VC fund for people who are subs in my channel where I shark tank ideas and give out money for equity based on the quality of the idea/business.

I'm learning SMMA(Social Media Marketing) and I was wondering you anons have done any of it yet.

I narrowed the marketing niches down to eCommerce and automotives both high retention and massive profits.

The trick is to actually beat all the other retards in the overly saturated market is to only focus on one specific niche and sub niche then master it, once you get that done an start going to clients and show them how valuable you are with perceived value because of how much you know about this niche and it will make them decide to partner with you at a high price because of said value that you presented forth to them.
