It's not fair, this is consciousness theft. Why is my body allowed to have a monopoly on consciousness?

from 2017-2018 I would sleep every two days. I would go to bed at around 8-9 on the second day and sleep 9 hours. But this made time go by so fast, and in the 10am-3pm period on second day you are in a weird giddy haze, like you are high

I’ve been into lucid dreaming on and off for about 7 years and writing your dreams down is the most important thing to do, you can learn techniques such as MILD or WILD etc but writing them down will probably make you lucid dream if you do reality checks :)

>> No.16719599

>>16719560
it works. But writing down your dreams take more willpower than you think because by the time you are awake enough to apply the willpower to write them down, you have forgotten them. And inthat hazy waking up phase where you can clearly remember dreams to write them down, you are often too retarded to make any sense. Here is one of my recents that makes most sense:

Sneak in to all you can eat music banquet thing worth hundreds. Stay at table with food. Security guards at entrance bridge leading to elevators. Security guards near food table wanting phone. Ask salary 30k. Leave amidst people knowing admiringly what we did. Forget my timberlands and have to walk through city in socks. Lost underground in stairs. Emerge into outside locate bearings by location of 2 McDonald's. Get robbed by a. Crackhead with his handler

iirc dreaming happens in REM which occurs in cycles while you sleep, starting 2ish hours after you fall asleep and occuring more often/in longer cycles towards very end of sleep

>> No.16719719

>>16719432
Things to consider: Your body naturally runs on something like a 25hour sleep cycle (although most people because of things like temperature and sunlight and metabolism re-calibrates to a 24 hour cycle every day), and traditionally you sleep in two halves - in the colder Northern Europe people would traditionally wake up in the middle of the night, and in warmer Southern Europe people have 'siestas' - naps during the hottest part of the day after a hearty lunch.
I remember hearing an anecdote about the guy who created the 'Theory of Inductive Inference' the mathematician Ray Solomonoff who apparently wouldn't ever sleep at the same time everyday but slept on the 25 hour cycle he lived until he was 83 and made some major contributions to Algorithmic Probability and algorithmic information theory.
Obviously better suited for someone like a Mathematician who does most of his work at home alone than someone who works in /biz/ and has a lot of underlings and meetings to go to.

this.
This is why it's suggested if you do set an alarm, time it to go off during non-REM sleep to avoid grogginess, however for Lucid Dreaming you might want some kind of subtle external cue to go off timed to your REM sleep - something that won't wake you up but will alert you you're dreaming.

holy shit, I always thought something was wrong with me because I always feel wide awake until an hour after I went to sleep the day prior. Is this the reason, or am I just a retard who can't regulate my circadian rhythms like normal people?

Lucid dreaming and dreaming in general is just so fucking awesome, seriously everyone should practice it. Learning to lucid dream will also make you remember your regular dreams better. I can usually remember 1-3 dreams per night.
Just today I woke up from a dream where I met some cute girl, we were holding hands, talking, then we started kissing. I can still remember how her tongue felt and the strange taste. It's crazy good. Lucid dreaming is even more insane. Seriously don't waste 30% of your lives /biz/bros.

>> No.16719934

>>16719510
First you have to up your dream recall => Dream log, vitamin b1-12, melatonin, silene, other weird african weed. Chemicals can really help you here to kickstart this a bit but you should try to make dream recall a natural bodily response after a while.
Look up WBTB.
When you have your first lucid dream don't try to rape everything like a retard. If you lose yourself in your emotional frency, huddle and or force it it won't work and you will probably wake up. Also don't try, simply do it. You have to own your dreams. You have 100% of the control since you are the one doing the dreaming. Dream control also works rather implicitly than explicitly which means that if you TRY to do something you will get TRYING while you will get DOING if you DO something. The dream feeds itself off your emotional state and intentions and all that other psycho crap. So, if you now desperately try to rape that hot girl next to you because you finally made it into the lucid dream and don't wanna risk wasting that chance then it might happen to you that her pants are glued to her ass or
>she
will not have a bagina since your forced behaviour implies a not having of the thing you're trying to get so desperately and then the dream will react accordingly. And since you wanna use your chance like said ealier and therefore huddle hard as fuck you will not get what you're trying to preserve because again of a implied lack thereof and in return you will wake up. Implicit control. In your dreams there is no differentiation between thinking, feeling and happening. You're in your head the whole time after all. Everything is thoughts here.
There is no 100% certified technique because it really is a mind thing. There are only thing that can help. Others mentioned it already and just google this shit. If you don't have depression or other mental problems which shut down your dream recall then getting into lucid dreams is relatively easy. The hard part is getting good at the control part.

My ability to do this is on and off. Really fun dreams are when I give myself superpowers, generally the same ones.

Have attempted to return to a dream I had months ago. Felt bliss. Standing in a field with a small hobbit like house behind me where my parents and siblings were. Wilderness/nature for many miles all around. Long standing grain gently waving back in forth from the wind. The cold gentle breeze hitting my skin as I closed my eyes while the setting orange sun on the horizon colors the sky a beautiful peach color. No anxiety whatsoever. Utterly relaxed. Felt blissful. Then the dream collapsed shortly after as I desperately tried to stay in it.

Mfw the breeze hit my face and the utter bliss I felt.

I desperately want to go back there again.
