BTC will not be a p2p exchange of value until it's 99% mined, which will make price and supply hit a stable number over time.

While we arrive to this point, the price will increase (unless btc fails to achieve that goal). And thats it. When the price would be stable, there wont be any incentive to hodl, so it will be used as a currency and p2p cash as Satoshi said. Now the way btc works is sinilar as store of value because we still have a long run until 99%of btc mined, so people hodl and wait.
