I am a total n00b and want to invest in crypto. I was thinking that the most bang for my buck would be by buying Ethereum. Realistically speaking how possible is it that 5 years from now 1 Eth could cost over 5000$? Sorry if my inquiry is stupid.

I'm more of a Bitcoin maxamalist so I would personally suggest that instead of ethereum but that's just me. I would say best bang for your buck would be bitcoin. Halving is less than 5 months away. Prime time to buy right now in my opinion. ATH probably 2021 or possibly 2022, but likely a trend of growth from the halving. But ethereum is a worthy contender but has shitcoin qualities that turn me away from it.
