Sup anon’s.
Old eth fag here who kinda made it.
So I’ve been offered a new job in Clark County Nevada aka Vegas. I’ll be making much more $ and cost of living is nothing compared to Southern California . After the house sells in OC, we stand to have $1.1M in liquid cash from the sale to do whatever we want. Our neighborhood jumped in value over the last 15 yrs or so like many other so cal neighborhoods. We obviously like to use this $ to make $.
I have decided NO Real Estate but try to invest the $ differently . Perhaps into something that pays dividends .
Not interested in more crypto, Ive already got a make it bag of LINK, ETH, BTC. Honestly haven’t added anything for over 1 year. Not looking to either.

FWIW job is in software security

Why no real estate? Its one of the safest places to park at least some of your money.
Putting it into crypto, you should expect to lose all of it

Not interested in more crypto .

Real Estate is a lot like another job.
My family own over 30 SFH and townhomes in Northern Va and DC that they’ve been renting since the 60’s. I’m well versed. I don’t have the time or desire.

Nice, infosec fag here. I will get barraged with pajeet posters' autistic screeches but I would try to get in touch with an OTC desk and look into Tezos (at a much lower entry point than current). If you are an ether fag then you know about the current issues and uncertainties around ETH2 - and whether it will cause the two communities to part their ways. Tezos is a nice hedge against that happening. For one they are looking to fill the same niches, albeit in radically different ways. And Tezos' thesis is that it is able to avoid breaking network effects by creating a focal point around on-chain voting for governance. There are other reasons to like it, staking, well specified from the get go, sound VM, non-dilutive inflation, etc. but I don't want to spoil it all for you. FWIW I think a nice entry point would be around 1.1X. Tezos has held extremely well against current trend for what feels like a very long time now. It hit all time high about a week ago. There will be a cool-down to $1.1 in my opinion.

PS: Price charts show ATH of $12. This is inaccurate. These are based off fraudulent coin futures offered by HitBTC *before* the main net even launched.

check out dividend etfs, so you do not need to care for individual stocks. SCHD is a good one for example, gives you 3% dividend which grows each year. it consists of 100 stocks which have been raising their dividends since at least 10 years.

Honestly, I think we got lucky with ETH. If you heard of ETH early and had just a little bit of imagination and forward thinking you knew it was worth $. I won’t reveal my entry price but it was in early 2016 . I knew it had at least a speculative value and a use case as a platform for ICO’s.
I didn’t time the top When I unloaded but I came really close.

I get those kinda useful vibes from ChainLink but I won’t make this another link post.

I got ass raped with taxes but I made great $.
I couldn’t resist ETH at $76 last year this time exactly. I made a big buy and locked it away on a trezor. I feel like if lightning does strike twice I got some exposure but not a lot. I do still have interest into crypto market and keep track of interesting projects but most have been full of shit or the market just isn’t ready for it yet.

Check out dailydivs.network

You put some eth into a smart contract and get a token that collects dividends when others do the same.

California tax rates are criminal tier.
The biggest tax expense was flipping ICO’s not the
which triggered short term capital gains tax and crypto to crypto trades taxed.

I grew up upper middle class and so did the wifey.
I make 6 figures a year so does the wifey.
We work so much we never really got to enjoy any of it. We got a European Vacation planned in June for 4 weeks. Then back to work.
