I believe i have found a pretty based strategy for margin trading.
I'm using cross leverage with 1/15th of my bitmex stack (1,3 btc) which literally put your trades at a liquidation price of 0, or some absurd increase/decrease on the alt coin pairings. I mostly just follow the rsi indicator to know when to enter my positions. So far i've increased my stack from 0.25 btc to 1,3 btc. I did get cocky once and entered a risky trade on the trx pairing literally hours before the huge pump in october to 10,8k, where i lost 0.42 btc (if i actually held my position i'd be up a lot more cuz of the hard bounce).

>have 1 bitcoin on bitmex
>enter 0.05 order on trx pairing
>every sat increase/decrease is a 10% profit/loss
>liquidation price of going long = 0 sats
literally free money if you stick to your trades and enter at a good time. And of course, i only ever enter positions with limit orders (market orders will eat up your profits). I go for quick in and out trades, netting me anything from 0.005 to 0.05 profits.
And i have a long position on eth/usd just casually sitting there incase bitcoin has a rally (liquidation price 15-20 usd). And you can enter these kind of small trades on all the alt coins on bitmex without being at any risk of liquidation.
Can post some of my trading history in next post

risk management is everything in this stale market when you play with leverage. I was an avvid 25x-100x bitmexican earlier this year, and that might work out for some trades, but you'll just get buttfucked sooner or later by mr. Hayes, with this tactic you actually eliminate the only risk with leverage (losing your entire stack). Literally just go look at the rsi with the charts, it always falls back below 70 (enter a short above 70), and it always bounces above 30 (enter a long here).

here's one page of my trading history, bunch of small no risk trades will eventually stack up. And this market is so goddamn stale right now, that sitting in a trade for more than a few days will literally just put your unrealised profits down to 0 again, cuz everything is trading within a 5% range at the moment.

what does this mean? its not possible for you to get liquidated so you are using really small single digit leverage?

>you don't get liq'd if you don't risk much
this has to be a shocker for the degen gamblers on /biz/.
OP, what did you mean by "every sat increase/decrease is a 10% profit/loss"?`
if you trade with 1/15th of your account and 1 sat is around 0.5% gain on trx, then it's 0.033% profit on your account

thats only true if theres no down side. just because you cant get liquidated doesnt mean you cant lose money.
