A medieval general awaits news about enemy troop movements to decide on his next move. It's imperative that he receives accurate news, but it's known that the enemy will do anything to affect this, including capturing and bribing or blackmailing the General's spies to relay inaccurate information. In order to account for this risk, the General sends multiple spies to observe the enemy from different locations. This way, he can expect a more accurate understanding of his enemy's movements even if few of his spies are compromised.
