How much longer can Chainlink straggle along without any mainstream adoption?

If there aren't any major partners/usages lined up right now, how much longer do you think bagholders will hold out before they all start to cave? EO2020? EO2021? Surely at some point without any google/microsoft/etc tier, institutional usage, the house of cards will start to tumble. But when exactly?
