Crypto will never have be good until three things happen. It needs to become easier to purchase with fiat (without verification or waiting), needs to become more private, and it needs to have better user interfaces.

kyc fucked everyone
heard a lot of normies complaining about it

*Crypto will never be good
Screwed up and left "have" in there.
>>16671784
Yeah, me too. Most people don't want to link their bank accounts just to try it out.

More private will not happen. It is what it is.

You also have to wait for verifcation to buy stocks, which is also a success.
That said I see no reason to hold btc other than for speculation. The only way I see crypto truly be successful is if the government gets rid of cash and implements negative interest rates.

Yeah that's true, but you don't use stocks like you're supposed to be able to use crypto. It would be sad if everybody just gave up on having it for anything but speculation.
>>16671841
Maybe. I think better privacy tech might come, but as things are it's harder to sell and promote coins where privacy is the main selling point. I expect tools for private transactions using BTC or ETH will improve at least.

Im mostly "invested" in Monero and kyc is the same shit as it is in stonks. Im holding Monero and every other coin in my folio because im interested in the projects and because im putting money into it i really dont need for a looong time.
Germany also banned Gold purchases without kyc under 10k€ starting from January 2020. So you will be able to buy only under 2k€ without kyc which is ridiculous and likewise the same with crypto. (Gonna see Boom here 2020 im 100% sure)

Imho the companies will adapt to normies being normies who complain about kyc process.

or just for retirement accounts to start allocating 1% of their funds into btc.

TSX is listing crypto ETFs next year for just that. Hopefully based Gen X portfolio managers help with that wealth transfer.

Kek not happening you’re not getting pension funds and retirement account money.

The saudis didn’t get onto the indexes, that’ll happen a long time before the exit scam currencies do. They’re not even companies, how many investors want their funds to invest in commodities and currencies? It’s not very mainstream.

Why did we even need kyc if the blockchain exists? It feels like its adding another layer of bullshit "security" that half the coins find ways around anyway.

High commissions for bankers. Didn't say a lot of the portfolios will be in it but some 100% will. And if the market starts to dip it's an easy way for dumb money to fomo

Use an ATM if you like fee rape for fast crypto
>it needs to be private
Monero, ring signatures, you wouldn't get it...
>needs better user interfaces
how the fuck giant buttons on a GUI are too complicated to a retard like you is a mystery to me

>Use an ATM if you like fee rape for fast crypto
There should be a quick way to buy without "fee rape."
>Monero, ring signatures, you wouldn't get it...
I like Monero.
>how the fuck giant buttons on a GUI are too complicated to a retard like you is a mystery to me
I'm able to use it, but its still a pain in the ass sometimes. Most normies don't want to bother with it. Or like ETH, I want to send a token from Metamask, but don't have enough gas. I try to deposit new ETH into the wallet, but I need to buy some and wait days until it's available. It's all usable, but there's too much BS to deal with.

You call me a retard, but you know I'm right. Crypto in its current state is slow and painful to use. Just because you can get by with it doesn't mean it should never improve.

Yeah, Mission Hill was great. Wish there were more episodes.
