What's the problem with Monero? Still new as fuck to this, but to me it seems useful if you're planning on buying drugs or some shit. Not very good for making bank off, though.

You are black, correct?

It’s the only crypto that’s actually fungible.

The actual answer is that normies are scared off by the tech and the “shadiness” of the coin.

The real ones recognize that monero is a literal upgrade of bitcoin, and the crypto with the highest ceiling. The monero grass roots community has a Linux vibe, where they aren’t seeking profit but instead are working on improving the tech. It’s an extremely safe hedge with the potential to one day be the dankest Swiss bank the world has ever know.

Yeah, that's why I don't get why people tend to shit on it. It seems like the kind of thing internet libertarians would suck off non-stop.

Yep. Accumulate while it’s still cheap, learn the tech (I recommend mastering monero), and convert bitcoin friends.

Since I only started paying attention to this shit yesterday, I'm pretty certain I'm being a complete retard about everything, so I'm just using whatever GPU and CPU power I'm not actively using to mine it. If it goes well, I might buy a rig.

And, yes, I know I should go kms.

as the "banking and monetary system" collapses you can be assured that your XMR will become completely useless as you will no longer have access to the internet.

>> No.16661023

>making bank off
The problem is that you want to profit on everything and blame shitcoins like XMR that already has an established use case (CP, drug, money laundering etc).

>> No.16661055

Did you read my post? I said I *don't* care about not being able to make bank off XMR.

this comment is a pretty great example of how normies react to Monero. Because they unknowingly fetishize the surveillance state, they will parrot whatever pro big goverment propaganda they can to act like fungibility and privacy is a bad thing. Notwithstanding the fact that those three things mentioned are paid for on a much, much larger scale today with Fiat or even Bitcoins.

explain to me why the attributes of privacy and being fungible are bad anon.
