16651057 No.16651057 [Reply] [Original]

Normies do not give a fuck about censorship resistance and decentralization. All they give a fuck about is being able to safely invest their money. And to them BTC is not safe at all because they do not understand how to use it. They will literally never be interested in managing private keys and wallets. That is way too complicated for them. And there is the possibility they lose their BTC because they don't know how to manage the technical details about it. Obviously this will never catch on with normies because of this. You can try to debate this but you know it's true.

Didn't you hear about the recent robinhood glitch? You think an exploit with their crypto isn't possible?
If you don't know how to own your own wallet, you don't deserve to buy crypto.

Yeah I know about their margin lending glitches. It doesn't affect me. They're not like a typical crypto exchange that declares bankruptcy and runs off with investor funds.

You don't control robinhood. If they go under or a state actor makes them shut off crypto, you are fucked.
I also hope it doesn't happen but I've lost funds from exit scams and it is a horrible feeling. I can't imagine if I lost 100% of them.
