Gold, silver and all the shiny rocks in between are going to explode when the Fiat Currency collapses in the next financial crisis.

Have you invested in God's Money yet? It was here long before us and it's going to be here long after we're gone.

Don't you have to also take into account that a lot of wealth since 1913 has been created. In 1900 there was $2 trillion in global wealth. Today that number is $360 trillion. $1 in 1913 equals $25.98 today. So divide price of silver in 1913 by 2 trillion. Take that number and multiply it by $360 trillion. Then multiply that number by 25.98. Equals $12.30

I hate tribalism. You reject crypto yet the returns are insane. I would honestly buy metals but I don't have much disposable income and crypto offers much greater returns. I don’t reject Crypto tho, I own a single BTC bought when it fell down to 2k. I’m still accepting the possibility of it reaching some meme price. I just don’t like it, it’s a casino. Some will win, most will lose. It’s also bad for your dopamine levels and makes you a CryptoCoomer. Metalsmare a stable investment and a safety landing in case of some bigger, world-wide crisis. If the returns are insane, then why 95% of /biz/ are incel NEETs with depression? Because they’ve lost, that’s how casino works. The winners are,yet again ironically, the governments and the rich. Cryptonwas supposed to free us from all that, but they simply used their real life wealth of money and gold to take it over just in case.

Unlike some of the people in these threads I am not against crypto, I hold a substantial amount. But I also know that when it comes to real hard money (not just currency) nothing holds a candle to precious metals. Investing in crypto carries substantial risk because it's so early, impossible to know which ones if any will succeed in the long run. Meanwhile gold and silver are proven forms of money since the dawn of civilization.

Both pmfags and cryptofags here can usually agree that the global fiat system is going to collapse. It died in 2008, all the major players are zombie firms, everyone is running on fumes. Only question is how best to position yourself, whether that's real estate, precious metals, cryptocurrency, cash, equities, bonds, etc.

s'up /pmg/
when the whole silver threads popped up here on biz I Kind of got fomo and bought 50 oz of the lizard coin a few months ago.

since then i tried to learn as much as possible about pm's because I got 22k € on my ba and Inflation is just eating at it. also I want to lose as little as possible in the next crash that i presume is right around the Corner (1-4 years)

but every time there is a recession, silver loses its worth like a mofo and Gold wins at least 3 out of 4 recessions. (see: http://www.munknee.com/how-does-silver-perform-during-and-after-a-recession-youll-be-very-surprised/ )
so why are all the Banks buying and accumulating silver? most of it is used as a industrial metal (e.g. cars and solar panels) wich will tank in a recession anyway. what is there plan?
>well if you gold wins then buy that instead retard
yeah but than i look at the COT index for gold and it is currently at around 70%. I don't really know how to interpret this but at 50% gold becomes overpriced and every time it is at 100% we are well into a recession and the gold worth in USD drops big time every time it comes down from its high horse.
I'd like to buy gold but it seems historically overpriced atm and the Gold/Silver ratio is as high as ever. So that looks like a big plus for silver, also silver seems to be pretty cheap and i see the potential of a x2 where it not for the fact is is suppressed but every time i look at pic related I see all that silver/gold stuff revered.
silver is taxed 7% in my country and gold 0%

>> No.16633379

Yes silver is way over its historical ratio. If you'd like to own a lot of gold one day, it would be a good idea to stack silver first, you might have a hard time finding an institution to trade for gold, but eventually when things cool down it should be easy enough to convert it. Buying silver right now is like buying gold at 1/4 it's price if you plan to trade for it.

Use the goods for small-brains and precious metals for big-brains. Being able to produce things yourself is also good. Tobacco loses potency after a couple of years so if you have a few plants you're set. Here in Bongland I don't have space for a wheat farm or something so I plan to get into these small, higher value per unit projects.

Silver is going to go up... eventually. We are in a descending triangle and are going to leg it down.

Everynone that was going to buy has already bought. Soon the sellers are going to take control.

We're more ready than you think, getting close.
Some things will never change though, you just have to ask yourself, who owns the most precious metals, and why?
If these things have been demonetizatized, why have the banks continued to buy them for almost 100 years after the fact, unless they are preparing for something that only they know about.
Precious metals are one of those assets that can be continuously pumped and dumped with no end in sight. It would be a good way for the banks to shake and dethrone anyone who posed a threat to them with crypto holdings etc.. eventually it will all go full circle and precious metals will be the preferred way of transferring wealth.

I really hate to admit this but I missed that coin and put it in a jar with the rest of my change. I have heard that a coinstar machine will not take silver but I know it's true now because when I put it in the machine spit it back out. The banks probably have machines that do the same thing but they don't give them back.

dude I have no fucking clue. I guess they buy PMs to secure some of their wealth before a recession, but they seem to not wait a second to sell it again once it is over. JP sold a lot of its gold to the nips and other Asians just so they could liquidate and make quick cash and keep the system rolling. Down hill into a pit, but still rolling.
The only reason gold has any value is because me like shiny rocks. that's it.

So, you still need 11 more ounces of silver to trade for one ounce of gold. This is how fucked up the ratio is these days.
It was historically 1:15

yeah, stupid fucking boomers would pay goy toys face value for real silver after 1964 and they've been hoarding them since then.
My coin dealer was a bank teller and that's how he got interested in PM's when investors would buy all the bank's coins for mutual funds.
Weird shit man. They knew.

Stop giving CryptoCoomers a false hope. They’ll take loans just to buy silver that’s probably not gonna move for the next 10 years. Precious Metals are mostly the retirement fund, and if we happen to get rich in the next decade, that’s just a cherry on top.

Just be realistic about the potential prices, PMs are not BitCoins.
