Think of Bitcoin as dollars.
Think of 1 (exact) "whole" bitcoin as a nice new $100 bill. Yeah it's kind of neat to have exactly $100 as one bill, but five 20s, a hundred singles, whatever it's worth the same.

So if your question is, "is it better to have a crisp $100 bill or $87.24 in mixed bills and coins" then of course $100 is worth twelve dollars more than $87.24 ... but it's not "better" because there's no additional value to having your money as one crisp bill.
It's neat to have a "whole" Bitcoin but that's only emotional value, nothing real.
