its not dead it's just crowded
imagine the odds of becoming an astronaut
actually it might be easier to become an astronaut than be a successful twitch streamer

The gaming isn't important. You're hosting a show. Just interact with the audience and make them feel important to you.

Being attractive doesnt matter, hell, it might make matters even worse for you. I mean look at asmongold or xqc or another big streamer dude. Are they attractive in your opinion?
And being funny is subjective. Just because Stacey laughed at your jokes, doesnt mean the autists on twitch will

Followup question for you crazy kids

I'm a 35 y/o boomer dad. I'm really funny, also handsome, and actually a pretty strong gamer. Would kids watch me for the irony and just to see a dad who is most likely a lot cooler than their dad and imagine me as their dad, or would I just seem pathetic? I'd obviously play up the dad angle as much as possible since 35 isn't really old enough to be like "yea I'm watching curses like a sailor grandpa shred people" cool.

90% of the experience is interacting and spamming dumb shit in chat as a reaction to what the streamer says or does. Some people put streams as background noise while themselves play video games (sort of how you'd have a tv open while doing house chores)

>35 year old gamer on twitch
Your market's tapped out. Maybe you could play retro games and pander to other aging gamers. Maybe try speedrunning or competitive gaming.

I rather put on music or a tv show for background noise than an autistic streamer.
can't believe this shit is so popular nowadays.

depends on a lot of factors
you can potentially do it but it comes down to execution, people might think it's cringe depending on how you do it
the most important thing to remember is that people like streamers who interact with chat and people who are entertaining, being good at games isn't that important, see: all those fortnite/pubg/LoL players who get super low views despite being high up the leaderboards

If you started 4 years ago, yeah you'd probably succeed. Boomer / dad joke type people seem to do quite well, look at TimTheTatman and MoonMoon. I personally find them boring as fuck, but normies seem to eat that shit up.

IRL is blowing up like crazy right now. But ever since Ice Poseidon's career collapsed real IRL whatitdo streams are dead. There's a bunch of bums trying to fill his shoes right now but they suck. If you're the type of personal that can be social and form a community out of basically nothing while maintaining the lions share of the audience I think you'd do good.

>> No.16616704

I'm actually interested in OP's thread even though by the way he's describing himself I can tell that he is a huge faggot
So let's ask some real questions
>What would be the best investments to make?
>Where are the best places to shill?
>What kind of advertising should I do?
>How to make my community grow and make them stay on the stream?
>What kind of content should I provide?
>What kind of attitude to have on stream?
>What games to play?
>Is the streaming business different depending on countries, target audience, content etc...
