Should I study Law?

I don't have to worry about debt or anything. I've considered an accounting degree, but I don't think I would find it interesting. Any lawyers here?

>> No.16614369

I'm also planning on studying law. I think it's probably worth it if you're going to a very good university, and you are willing to study and get to the top.

It's great if you like trying to convince idiots just to pay the parking fine and explain to them there's no reason to be in front of a judge, or spending every day researching for the actual court lawyers precedents and rulings from past cases. Compiling reports, searching legal databases over and over again with different filters.

If it's a free degree then go ahead. Even if you don't work in law, legal knowledge is always going to be somehow applicable to what you're doing.

Check out this site which gives good employment stats on law schools and gives you an idea which schools are inflating their rates by self employing their grads

I am very similar. 135 IQ, INTJ, was first planning to go into law, then accounting, and now am doing STEM. CS/quantitative finance/applied mathematics/data science, etc are probably going to be a lot better.
The "dream" life for accountants and lawyers is working 80 hours a week at a big firm making a salary that isn't a farcry from what they would've been earning in a tech position.
If you really want to go all-out, become an MD. I would do that, but I don't have 400k to do it.

What did you get on the ACT and where are you going/applying? I got 33 composite, 34 on math. I'm applying (transfer) to USC, WUISL, Case Western, Lehigh.
